For anyone interested, Brian and I are meeting in Milnthorpe at 09:30 and intending to head up to Ravenstondale. Forecast is for 0 - 2deg some rain?? - but Tan Hill is forecast for - 4 to 0 deg and snow - so we can go higher if conditions are good enough there, although Ravenstonedale does sound to have the best snow.

Great snow here in Ravenstonedale / Newbiggon-on-
Lune / Little Asby / Sunbiggin area - 6 inches or more in the garden and more on the fells. Most of it fell last Sunday/Monday but due to the cold it's still unchanged. Edward and I skied from the village today on waxing skis. Haven't seen conditions like this on the lowlands for over 10 years! Lakeland tops look fantastic from here, especially High Street and Kentmere. It was thigh deep in lots of places around the horseshoe a week last Tuesday (27/1/09).
