The Las Vegas Marching Arts organization (LVMA, Inc.), is a nonprofit, nonsectarian youth program in Nevada. LVMA, Inc. originated in 2007 by founder Randy N. Warner. Las Vegas Marching Arts is a youth music education organization which will oversee a variety of creative and unique performance opportunities for young musicians, dancers and performers in southern Nevada such as “Silverado’’, Nevada’s first ever competitive drum and bugle corps which we hope to field in summer of 2010. We also have Las Vegas’ newest and most original choral performance troupe called “VocalMotion’”. LVMA, Inc. is dedicated to helping young adults to achieve their aspirations by providing a creative and challenging environment to prosper. The purpose of the organization is to promote and support youth education through percussion music, performance, pageantry and competitions with the marching arts activities
It takes the commitment of an entire community to assure that music is part of the core curriculum. Children engaged in music will be the innovation leaders of tomorrow, and there is no better way to build life-long participation in music than with a solid base of music education.
NAMM has reported that making the Best Communities list has had a tangible effect on their ability to preserve music for their students. This year, recipients cited increased enrollment in music programs and more support from parents and community members as they realize the physical, mental and emotional value music education brings to students.
We could use volunteers, donations and almost everything imaginable for this endeavor. Let us know if you would like to offer time, money or much needed 'in kind' donations such as office products, office space, and of course, music instruments.
Join, learn, discuss and Enjoy!!
