LTCC Snow Riders Club exists for the benefit of all the Lake Tahoe Community College students. A social club devoted to enhancing the enjoyment of winter time activities among students at LTCC . The club's main focus will be on supporting all the LTCC students, everyone from the expert mountain junkies and pro athletes to the beginner riders, and the weekend warriors/college professor.
Here are a few specific ideas that the members of the club have come with-
-Have a competition/rail jam
-Have a fundraiser/ swap meet(buy, sell, trade equipment), bake sell, raffle, etc.
-Take a big group trip
-Backcountry! Snow shoeing, snow mobile groups, heli-trips, etc.
-Ride every mountain in Tahoe as a group/ carpool to local mountains
-Build boxes/ rails
-Enroll in special topic classes- safety classes/ backcoutry workshops/ winter survival, avalache (Dave Beck)
-Make a video/ a newsletter/ a magazine
-Sponsor a big movie night/ host a local film festival
-Obtain discount tickets from local resorts
-Produce a calendar
