Finding Light At The End Of The Tunnel

It could be assumed that there is an alarming rise in depression if we consider the ever-increasing volume of antidepressant medication advertised in the media. Fortunately, for our convenience, it is not even necessary to remember the name of the advertised pill, as each seems to be colour-coded. If we have the advertised symptoms, we need only ask our doctors for “that coloured pill” to banish the blues. Thanks to the magic of pharmaceuticals it is possible to abolish feelings. This treatment option may subdue depressive symptoms, but it can also dull potentially good and healthy feelings from being expressed.

Depression is a very real and potentially disabling problem for many people. In Analytical Hypnotherapy, Volume II, Morison emphasizes that depression can “seriously interfere with the client’s ability to cope with life and to function successfully.” One can experience anything from extreme apathy, fatigue and irritability to hopelessness and thoughts of suicide. Further, Emrika Padus in The Complete Guide to Your Emotions and Your Health, states that living for a prolonged period of time with feelings of “helplessness and gloom can increase our vulnerability to diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis allergies, cancer and even AIDS.”

It is startling to consider that pharmaceutical advertising and the increasing number of physicians who prescribe antidepressants do it as the exclusive treatment of choice without suggesting alternatives. This has become evident in my clinical practice in which most of the clients on antidepressants are women. In none of these cases had there been any other form of therapy suggested in addition to the medication. Many of these people had been on antidepressants for years. One woman reported that she had been on antidepressants for more than fifteen years.

A common theme expressed by these women was a relief from the feelings of sadness and an increased ability to get through the day. This relief however came at the price of experiencing a “flat line” of emotions. They felt no real happiness, joy or excitement and their everyday problems like financial, marital, career and family concerns continued without resolution. Low self-esteem issues were still prevalent as were many long-term psychological issues, but these were made more tolerable because feelings were controlled by the medication.

I worked with a woman who had tried every diet available to lose weight. She would lose a few pounds only to gain back more than she had lost. The weight problem had existed for about eight years and she hated her physical appearance. Nine months prior to this, she had been placed on antidepressants by her physician in response to continual tearfulness, feelings of fear, lethargy and hopelessness.

In my approach to treatment, I began by helping her to identify reasons for the symptoms she was experiencing. As she was unable to connect to any causal factors I began to discuss some of the emotional and psychological characteristics frequently associated with excessive weight gain. She broke into tears as I spoke of weight as being an insulator or protective mechanism in response to something fearful. It was at that point she admitted that when she was heaviest her husband would not initiate intimacy with her. When she was lighter he would make advances towards her, which she did not want. While she wanted to lose weight to feel better about herself, the weight “protected” her from something much more powerfully motivating than her desire to be thinner.

Further discussion revealed that in her twelve years of marriage she experienced constant verbal and psychological abuse with intermittent physical abuse. With two school-aged daughters to raise and a lack of education, she depended on her husband for financial support. Emotionally battered for years, she felt worthless and was frightened that her husband would harm her if she ever tried to leave. She felt trapped. These were valid reasons to feel depressed. Though her husband continued his insults and controlling behaviour along with the occasional slaps and punches, she felt better able to resign herself to her situation as she “didn’t feel much” since taking the antidepressants. Her physician didn’t know the story. He hadn’t asked and she didn’t tell him.

Our work together did not focus on weight loss but rather ego strengthening, life skill development and problem solving. Her self-perception began to change positively when she returned to high school to complete her diploma and she found herself liked and respected by peers and classmates. After finding a part-time job her self- esteem continued to grow, and having explored the services available to single mothers and abused women she left the marriage.

The changes did not happen over night and during most of this time she . remained on her medication, though at continually decreasing amounts. Today she has a full-time job with a chance of promotion, a nice apartment which she shares with her youngest daughter, and she likes her life. The antidepressants were weaned out of her daily routine, unlike many who stay on these drugs for a lifetime.

With this approach to treating depression, the underlying emotional and psychological issues are dealt with, not simply medicated away. This underlines the difference between coping with depression and learning to take control over it. In his book, The Mind Body Prescription, Dr. John E. Sarno presented a case of a fifty-year old man with a long history of depression. Antidepressants helped to elevate his spirits for a short time until “he suddenly developed severe manifestations of TMS [Tension Myositis Syndrome], including major muscle weakness in one of his ankles.” Dr. Sarno saw this as “a case of symptom substitution.” The medication had altered this man’s brain chemistry and alleviated his depression, but it failed to change the inner conflicts responsible for his depression. In fact, the body substituted leg and back pain in place of the depressive symptoms.

The family physician is usually the first and frequently the only contact that a person with depression will make. Dr. Sarno identifies that few physicians believe that illness results from repressed emotions. “Psychoanalysts,” he claims, “are the only clinicians who have held to the concept, but their influences in the larger fields of psychiatry and general medicine is limited.” Sarno contends that “contemporary psychiatric research identifies chemical events in the brain associated with certain pathological states, like depression, and then assumes that if the symptom can be altered with drugs, the disorder is cured.”

Most medical training is focused upon symptom removal rather than the exposure and removal of causal factors. The current trend towards minimizing depression as the result of brain chemistry imbalance, and the vested interests of the pharmaceutical companies have only reinforced the current, accepted approach to the “treatment” of depression. Medication or some form of chemical intervention may well be necessary to help an individual with depression gain an experience of emotional stability, but it should not be at the exclusion of processing and experiencing feelings and emotions. This “band aid” approach does not provide a long-term, successful solution.

If you are struggling with depression, are on medication, are about to be put on medication or on nothing at all, it may help you to deal with the underlying issues of the depression. Do not be satisfied to simply “not feel.” A qualified therapist can assist you to resolve past issues and learn to take control of the events of your life that have disempowered you. There is light, life and a whole range of feelings at the end of the depression tunnel.

Qualities: Jaguar ,integrity, heart-knowing, alignment with divine will, magician, shaman , night seer, priest, magic

 

Ix is known by myriad faces: the Sun runner, the torchbearer of the larger vision, the healer, the mystic builder, the initiator into the mys­teries. It is also the magician, whose powers are activated by wisdom that emanates from the heart. Such wisdom is not the intellectual un­derstanding known in Western culture; it is the wisdom that comes from an alignment of mind and heart. An open, trusting heart is a re­fined tool of perception. Allowing yourself to "not know" opens the door of the mind to a deeper understanding of the universe, be asks you to fully utilize this aligned mind to participate in magic.

 

As Starhawk, author of The Spiral Dance, says, magic is "the art of sensing the subtle, unseen forces that flow through the world, awaken­ing levels of consciousness beyond the rational" Magic's dimensional doorway opens through simply being. It appears to be extraordinary, yet it can often be found within the ordinary if your eyes are open to seeing it. When you realize that all possibilities exist, you understand what magic really is. When you see the world as thinly veiled to other realities, then magic is everywhere and always. Today, the portals of the greater reality are open. This is the long-awaited time in which the magic of cosmic consciousness is descending into receptive hearts.

 

The embodiment of integrity, Ix asks that all tools, all power, and all abilities be lovingly filtered through the intentions of the Divine. In that light, a statement of empowerment for magicians such as you is the following: "As a wise instrument for the Divine, I set myself free of my past and walk into the future now. With integrity, I stand in the light, in alignment with divine will. I know that whatever serves the larger vision also serves me, and I act in alignment with that knowing. I understand that all things are possible, and from that knowledge springs my innate magician ship. In humility, my dear presence magnifies to include all abilities that appear magical to limited consciousness. I am com­plete. All of myself dances around the centre of my being, in alignment with cosmic consciousness. I stand in unmarred correspondence with the original condition of the light."

 

A universal tool associated with the magician is the wand, which represents wisdom in the beneficial use of will. Will that is out of align­ment with the Divine looks outside of self for answers and empower­ment. Looking inside for guidance returns you to natural attunement and sensitivity. Learn to utilize the wand to align your will with the Divine—to focus and channel healing, wisdom, and love to others.

 

 

Ix is also the architect, diviner, mystic builder, geomancer, astrologer, mathematician, shaman, and shape shifter. Shape shifting may be seen as doing what is required in the moment. It is the act of changing of masks or appearances to serve the intentions of the Divine. be has the ability to move with silent ease through the dimensions, slip­ping like a graceful jaguar, unnoticed, through the "hole between the worlds." In the existential world, be is the shaman, priest, and healer. It can appear to be many different things to different people.

 

Another powerful symbol associated with IX is the all-seeing eye, the eye of Horus. This is a symbol of entrance into other dimensions. Ix is a keeper of the flame of initiation into sacred, ceremonial magic. Simply stated, initiation is a rite of passage into a more expanded hologram of experience, bestowing gifts and spiritual powers, be is the initiator into the mysteries of lineage, the use of symbols and metaphors, and the evocation of divine archetypal energies. As you are seeking understanding about initiations, rites, ordinances, and installation into offices, call upon Ix to guide and teach you.

 

The energy of IX also asks you to "hold the light high." As a magician, you act as a torchbearer, a "Sun runner for the wisdom fire." You are able to move in the physical world on behalf of Spirit and to travel into other worlds bearing the torch of the heart's wisdom. The energy of Ix asks you to be aware of the many realities in which you already exist. You are much more than you may be consciously aware of. Being a magician means taking the evolutionary initiative to become all that you are. Right now, you are walking into the fullness of your true identity.

 

Ix offers you initiation in Grafting your dimensional light body, refin­ing your magician's cape so that it becomes the sail, the means of transport through the vast seas of consciousness.

 

Ix also invites you to step into self-empowerment. Empowerment comes from self-acceptance, integrity, and commitment to your evolu­tion. Self-empowerment is not to be found outside oneself. Anything from the outside that brings you empowerment also has a divine founda­tion within you. If you feel a need for the approval of others, look to self-empowerment. When you feel effectively engaged, doing what gives you joy, your energy naturally expands to include more of who you are, and magic flows synchronistically into your life. Claim your alignment with the highest wisdom. Call forth divine action in all that you do!

 

The magician is a tool of the light, a conduit for the work of Spirit. A wise magician is spontaneous and transparent, allowing magic to come in rather than trying to control it or make it happen. A magician dances the dance of love through offering gifts of freedom to others. This is real magic. Freed from the need to use power to manipulate or control, a magician uses wisdom to manifest liberation and love.

 

The number for Ix is fourteen, which represents the mastery of worlds and realities. The colour for Ix is translucent opalescence. Close your eyes and see your dream-coat. Don't be surprised if a certain colour appears for your coat; this holds a great teaching for you. The multicoloured, iridescent dream-coat represents the magician's multiplici­ty of specific energies and abilities. Opalescence symbolizes the magical interweaving of the higher resonances, as well as all the mystery and multiplicity that are parts of the grand illusion. In the larger pattern, all colours and forms are part of the greater harmony. If you wish to ac­cess the qualities of Ix, focus on translucent opalescence or the irides­cent, multicoloured dream-coat.

 

A special crystal for Ix is Moldavite. An extraterrestrial material that fell to Earth in a meteorite, it has a very expansive vibration for accessing other realities.

 

Shadow Wisdom

 

One shadow of Ix can be seen in issues regarding integrity. Integrity comes from an intention to be honest and true to yourself and others. Having integrity means that you can be trusted to do what you say you will do. It also means that your actions are congruent with your feelings. Integrity comes from a deep connection with self. It is characterized by a willingness to speak your truth, to address your shadow issues honestly, and to complete issues with yourself and others.

 

Ix also reveals issues of control and personal power. Look into your life to see how these issues might be manifesting. Do you sometimes feel a need to hold on, to control, to have things your way? Is your per­sonal will combined with a desire for recognition, approval, status, or fame? This society may have rewarded you for functioning from a place of personal power. Many people in this shadow seem calculating and controlling, using their minds without alliance to their hearts. The need for control arises when you feel insecure or no longer connected to that which creates meaning and satisfaction in your life.

 

Similarly, people who view power as something outside themselves may see magic as the art of controlling people and nature. This percep­tion creates its own lessons. In this shadow, you may unconsciously bend or distort data. Some magicians may even feel justified in using their personal power to bolster their self-assurance or to manipulate others. In the darkest part of this shadow, manipulation is enacted for the sheer pleasure of power.

 

Everyone may be willful from time to time while learning how to align personal will with divine will. In this process, let your heart show you the way. Face your insecurities and step into who you truly are—a wise and powerful human being, a magician of living. As you open to divine will, you will naturally resolve issues of personal will and power.

 

Ix also offers you an opportunity to create allies out of your fears and insecurities. Perhaps you are carrying issues from past lifetimes— deep wounds that create present issues of pain, anger, or betrayal. These experiences may be clouding your vision. In order to acquire clear sight, begin to interact with and integrate these shadow teachers. The founda­tion for this integration is creating an ally of fear and a loving accep­tance of all aspects of yourself. This heals the underlying structure that supports ego and insecurity. It also quiets the mind and aligns it with the heart, taking you into a space of clarity and self-empowerment.

 

Also, remember that magic is not restricted to a particular system. In the shadow of Ix, you may be lost in the appearance of form. For some, the magic of ceremony and ritual may become separated from its deeper meaning. There is also the issue of ceremonial leaders who separate the ceremony from its participants by implying that they have superior status or knowledge. Everyone has direct access to divinity. Does the wearing of your "robes" or magician's cape represent status or authority to you? If so, set this illusion aside! The real magician's cape is transparent to the will of the Divine!

 

The transformation offered in this shadow is found in utilizing the limitless field of possibilities. As a divinely aligned magician, you con­sciously create in an infinite field of probable realities. You work in holographic realities that can be seen as lenses of perception, light, and vibration. Your creative energy moves freely into this field, drawing to itself whatever supports the manifestation of your vision. All of your conscious and unconscious thoughts help to shape the form in which your vision will manifest. This is why clear intention, prayer, medita­tion, and evocation are so important. With divine timing, energy comes together to support your specific vision. A critical mass is reached, and it precipitates into being. As you open your belief system to such super-conscious creativity, all things become possible, including magic, miracles, and divine intervention.

 

Harmonic Wisdom

 

The harmonic wisdom of Ix is melody, the progression of single tones within a composition. Ix symbolizes the sacred journey of your individual life. As a harmonic magician, you are a novel yet universal container for the expression of the Divine. While you play the melody of your journey's spirit song, the Creator provides the harmony.

 

Melody is to music what story line is to a story. Utilize the elements you have chosen for exploration in your life—your gifts, talents, abilities, motivations, circumstances, and the other characters in your play. Or­chestrate the most interesting and growth-engendering story line from this combination of possibilities. Understand that you are the player and the played in the melody in your life.

 

You undoubtedly remember having been moved to tears by a par­ticular melody. Melodies awaken heartfelt feelings. They call forward memories and connections with other times and places. Ix embodies this ability, being the quintessence of truth held within your heart-knowing. As with a haunting melody, Ix is like a feeling bridge that connects you with the unseen and that which seems to have been forgotten. The musical descriptors of this harmonic wisdom are timbre, the characteristic of any tone that distinguishes it from any other, and spinto, a compelling and intense tone colour. These two qualities reveal the uni­queness and colour of your sacred journey

Art Program Connects to Academic Learning

The Boston Globe, in its Globe West section on March 31, 2005, reports that art lessons for fifth graders at Mather Elementary School in Boston, MA. (who are working with teenage students at nearby Cambridge School of Weston) have helped them learn math. Andrew Bott, Mather Elementary principal, was quoted as saying that the fusion of art and other subjects is beneficial to students who learn in different ways, and can also make lessons more fun and meaningful, helping to build long-term memory. This particular project was organized by National Arts and Learning Collaborative, (see http://www.artslearning.org/) an arts education group based at Walnut Hill School in Natick, MA., which works in part to promote arts education by pairing private high schools with public elementary schools and establishing mentor relationships btween students of different ages and backgrounds. Incredible Edible Schoolyard

Now a model for school garden projects, the Incredible Edible Schoolyard at Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School in Berkeley, CA. came about when Alice Waters, a Montessori teacher before she became a chef at Chez Panisse, saw the school's neglected ashpalt lot and suggested the idea to the school's principal at the time, Neil Smith. Eighteen months later, after much work from various community stakeholders, the garden project got under way, a one-acre organic garden of flowers, vegetables, and herbs planted, tended and harvested by the 950-some students. The idea, as Waters originally conceived it, was to create an understanding of the continuum of garden to kitchen, kitchen to table, and table back to garden. Waters feels that this is "essential education," this ability to create community around food. "Maria Montessori believes everyone needs to have an education of the senses, and food is a way, on an everyday basis, to open your eyes, your mouth, your nose and your sense of touch," says Waters. The growth of a school kitchen was concurrent with the development of the garden. In the kitchen (which does not serve the school cafeteria) classes are taught by a full-time cooking instructor; the kids are responsible for cooking, setting the tables, serving and cleaning up. Dead Man Walking Production Rights Available

Tim Robbins, who produced the movie "Dead Man Walking" and wrote a play version of the book by Sister Helen Prejean, has allowed all Jesuit High Schools, Colleges and Universities to produce the play for one year, providing that there were other academic departments studying the issue of the death penalty at the same time, and providing they give him feedback on what works and doesn't. Is Supersizing the Arts Good for our Students? (Give us your opinion!)

Dear CES,

I adore and applaud 99.9999 percent of the articles and programs discussed in your Journal (and think The Odyssey is one of the best theatre scripts for young audiences I have ever encountered); however, as a theatre educator who produces theatre both WITH and FOR young audiences, I have to say that I found Jesse Green's NYT piece on the "Supersized School Play" depressing and less than hopeful. Large budget musicals, high tech wizardy that intimidates students, an emphasis on "bigger is better," as well as cramming hundreds of kids on stage are not the kinds of lifelessons and experiences theatre should be used to impart (and Green seemed to be dubious as well).

Not a criticism, but just my humble two cents!

Keep up the great work; your website and your efforts are lovely oases in the arid and depressing landscape of current education in this country.

Things You Wish You'd Known Before You Left School:

  1. Any and all compliments can be handled by simply saying "Thank you" though it helps if you say it with a Southern accent.
  2. Some people are working backstage, some are playing in the orchestra, some are on-stage singing, some are in the audience as critics and some are there to applaud. Know who and where you are.
  3. Never give yourself a haircut after three margaritas.
  4. When baking, follow directions. When cooking, go by your own taste.
  5. Never continue dating anyone who is rude to the waiter.
  6. You need only two tools. WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves but shouldn't, use the tape.
  7. If you tell a lie, don't believe it deceives only the other person.
  8. The five most essential words for a healthy, vital relationship: "I apologize" and "You are right".
  9. Everyone seems normal until you get to know them.
  10. When you make a mistake, make amends immediately. It's easier to eat crow while it's still warm.
  11. The only really good advice that I remember my mother ever gave me was, "Go! You might meet somebody!"
  12. If he says that you are too good for him -- believe him.
  13. Pick your battles; ask yourself, Will this matter one year from now? How about one month? One week? One day?
  14. At hard times, ask yourself, "How do I feel? What do I want?" I use it whenever I'm at loss for words or thoughts.
  15. If you woke up breathing, congratulations! You have another chance!
  16. If you move far from your family when you're young, consider choosing a career with an airline.
  17. Living well really is the best revenge. Being miserable because of a bad or former relationship just proves that the other person was right about you.
  18. Be really nice to your friends because you never know when you are going to need them to hold your hand.
  19. Work is good but it's not that important.
  20. Never underestimate the kindness of your fellow man.
  21. And finally... Being happy doesn't mean everything's perfect it just means you've decided to see beyond..

Dear Friend,

I thought you might be interested in this HSUS campaign to
increase protections for dogs and cats at mass breeding
facilities.

As you know, puppy mills are large scale breeding operations
that churn out animals with little regard for humane treatment.
What you may not know is that many of these operations are
classified as "pet stores," because they sell directly to the
public through the Internet or newspaper ads, and therefore are
exempt from the minimum standards of care required by the Animal
Welfare Act.

Members of Congress have introduced PAWS, the Pet Animal Welfare
Statute, to require these operations to be licensed by the USDA
and to follow the Animal Welfare Act. I hope you will join me in
urging your members of Congress to support PAWS. It only takes a

I just read this message and my heart hurts so much for those two beautiful soulmates.  If Michael had been sick in the past few weeks, I guess I missed it because I can't seem to recall reading anything about it in any messages shared with these groups.
 
My heart hurts for her so very much because their love story was one of a kind and,from what I know about them, the love they shared is not shared by many people on this earth.  They were very lucky to have found each other while they were both living in this incarnation.
 
I am sure she is devastated and that she needs some time to get herself back on track, so until she lets us all know she is ready to interact with us again, I will keep her in my thoughts, in my heart and in my prayers.  Michael was a very special man and, while I know he is now with God, I am also praying that he had an easy and peaceful transition to the other side.
 
If you talk to her, please let her know how sad I am for her and how much I am now feeling for her in my heart.
 
Thanks so much for sharing this information with us today.  Because you and she are such special friends, I am sure that she will get in touch with you before she is ready to face anyone else.  So please be sure to give her my love because she and Michael (because he was a such a part of her) are two of my favorite people in the world, just as you are, and I hate so much to think of her hurting alone any longer than she feels necessary.
 
So I will be keeping her in my prayers for as long as needed, asking God and His healing angels to be with her and to comfort her as she deals with this great loss in her life.

I was thinking last night of how difficult it can be for the one who is left behind as our loved ones soar into the fullness of their being.
 
In his time on Earth in this lifetime, Michael did so much for all of us in spreading spirit and being an advocate for the environment.

Dear ONEs
 
Just after I posted through on Michael's passing, my television seemed to have turned off - no picture and no sound.
 
I am back in my office, down a long hall and then through the kitchen before getting to the room with the TV.
 
I just went to turn it back on and discovered that somehow it had switched from the main connection to the #1 connection which comes in through the VCR, which is off.

The remote, which is necessary to make this change, was simply sitting there on the table, and there is no one else here to have changed it.

A child of god (ACOG) had a conversation with God, one
day, and it transpired in the following way:

ACOG: There are so many problems on Earth. Why don't
you do something to end all of those problems, and
exactly where are you?
Why can't people see you?

God: My child, I am aware of all of the problems that
exist on Earth, but I did not create any of those
problems on Earth.
All of you children of mine created those problems,
and I will, thus, let you solve them on your own.

If I step in to try to solve all of
your problems, then you and my other children will
never learn how to stop creating problems. You would,
thus, continue to create the same problems over and
over without end if I always stepped in to
solve all or some or any of your problems.

I will now answer your question of where am I. Well,
my child, I am everywhere, but my central mind exists
within the central sun that
is in the middle of all universes.
My spirit world body exists
everywhere. My body is composed of pure energy.
I must tell you a
secret. I don't know everything like most of you
children think.
Heck, I don't even know who or what created me.

Furthermore, I don't know everything that goes on with
every life form on every planet in every universe, and
that is why I have angels helping me.
My angels give me regular reports of what goes
on in all of the different universes. I have angels
constantly watching and patrolling every area of every
planet in all of the many universes, and that is how I
am able to know what is going on
everywhere in the cosmos.

ACOG: God, I think that you need to stop just sitting
back to let your children of Earth try to solve their
many hellish problems on their own because they are
really making a bigger and bigger mess of
things on Earth. They really need someone that is very
powerful to help them to solve some or all of their
major Earth problems.

God: What are your suggestions of what I should do to
solve some or all of the major Earth problems of my
children on Earth?

ACHOD: First of all, I think that you should remove
all of the evil people from Earth.

God: If I did that, then there would hardly be anyone
left on Earth because all of you children sometimes
think, say, and do evil/negative things. Although all
of my Earth children sometimes think, say, and do
negative/evil things from time to time, some of
you do them much more than others. Furthermore, some
of you Earth children feel very bad and guilty
whenever you think, say, and do
evil/negative things, and some of you don't. If I
remove any of my Earth children from Earth, then I
think that I would remove the ones
who have no guilts, or remorses about doing great
evils to others.
Since you are one of my favorite children on Earth, I
greatly respect your thoughts, and just where do you
suggest that I send those very evil children of mine
after I remove them from Earth?

ACOG: I think that you should send them to an empty
planet that is far from Earth.

God: Okay, my child, I think that that is what I will
do. I will do that because there seems to be no better
solutions for ending all of the terrible problems on
your planet, and when do you want me to
do that?

ACOG: You can do that now if you want to.

God: I think that I need to give all of them one more
chance to turn their evil lives around for the better
before I send them all
to another planet that is far from Earth. I will tell
all of my angels on Earth to personally send/give
messages of warnings to all
of my children who are constantly doing great evils to
others on Earth, and who love doing those evils, and
who also never have any
guilts or remorses for doing great evils towards
others. I want my angels to warn them that they all
will be transported to that other planet if they don't
stop their evil ways by August 30, 2005.

ACOG: Okay, God, your plan sound good to me, and now
we just have to wait to see if those very evil
children of yours will soon stop
doing all of their very great evils. Only time will
tell.

God: Once again, my child, you are one of my best and
most devoted children on Earth, and I will always
listen to what you have to say,
and I will always try my best to help you out whenever
you ask me
for help.
I also want you to know that I will always have a
legion of my best angels watching and protecting you
at all times.
Therefore, never worry about anything while you carry
out your daily tasks upon Earth, but just make sure
that you continue to try your very best to follow and

See only specialities – Words of Wisdom

God has given us the knowledge of both coming and going.  One who comes
has to go.  The knowledge of the whole cycle can be given in two words; to
come and to go.  This is what we are making effort for isn't it?  The iron
age will go and the golden age will come.

To be within the gathering of the family is a great fortune.  Of course
God is with us but He tells us that we have to fulfil the responsibility
to the family.  God says that some children say it is very nice to be with
God, that they like gyan (Knowledge), but that it is difficult to move along with the
family.  You have God and gyan but do you want to rule in the kingdom? If
so, there needs to be a connection with everyone.

When there is conflict with someone in the family, understand it as the
settling of karma.  But then also see how much love you receive from the
family.  The rosary is a memorial of the family. Seeing the family we should
feel that this is the family I have come into after 5,000 years.  No-matter
what someone may be like, he is still a member of the family.  We have to
fulfil our responsibility to the family as much as we do to God.  God
tells us to remain like a lotus; detached and lovely.  You cannot leave the
gathering;  by remaining like a lotus learn to be in the family and be
happy.  Be loving to the father and keep the image of yourself as a lotus
flower in front of you.  It is not difficult, a lotus lives in dirty water
but remains lovely.  Learn to merge what you see.

God says that even if someone has a defect, just look at their
specialities.  There definitely is some speciality or they would not belong
to God.  The difference comes in using the speciality. Some use their
intellect to make plans, some do karma yoga but all are moving along with
their specialities.  By increasing your speciality you will remain happy.
Use it in a worthwhile way and see how it increases.  If you don't use it,
it will finish.  It will be as if you use it all up.

Remember  that each one is one out of multi-millions.  To recognise God
is not a small thing; even religious souls and presidents cannot recognise
God.  This is not small the sign of a small intellect. God has accepted
each one as His child.  Look at others in this way and you will enjoy
yourself a great deal.  Then you will never have any waste thoughts.  Waste
thoughts come when you interact with others and see or hear something.  We
really have to learn to look only at specialities.  If you see something
that is not right, indicate to the seniors then remain free. If something
does happen we should  simply find the solution for it and not hold it in
our mind.
 God is responsible and the seniors are responsible.  You don't need to
follow it up.  Have good wishes that  that they will move forward.  Don't
get caught up in thinking about them, just keep yourself busy taking from
God because you have to serve the whole world .  How can you serve if you
are caught up?

God gives us the third eye of knowledge and sits us on the beautiful throne
of the self sovereign in the centre of the forehead.  God give us this
throne and yet we get off it and sit on a chair.  Which chair?  The chair of
being a judge and a lawyer.  Who does a judge or lawyer judge? Others!  Now
don't go after the chair of a lawyer or a judge.  Don't run after the chair
of position.  In the world people are willing to kill each other for this
chair.  God has given us such beautiful thrones; God's heart throne and the
throne of self sovereignty.  Do you really want to sit on a chair when these
sparkling thrones are available?

If you maintain the consciousness of being an instrument while doing service
you will never feel tired because you will not carry any burden of the
service.  You will experience that it is God who is responsible for
everything.  In this state of instrument consciousness you will never have
an 'off mood'. Your feeling will be that you are simply a trustee carrying
out the task.  God is responsible.  He is everyone's 'Head of  Department'.

Some say that God is incorporeal so how can they hold His hand.  In fact,
God's hand is His shrimat (God’s Words). If you want to feel that you are holding His
hand, simply follow shrimat. There is not a single action for which God
hasn't given shrimat.  How to speak, sit, walk, how to smile.  To follow
shrimat means to hold on to God's hand very tightly.  Check yourself in
every action from morning till night; this is all you have to do.  You have
God's hand, God's company - is there anything else you need?

Hello Judith and all, especially Cynthia, if you are here now or read this at a later date:
 
Judith, what you said about Michael was so beautiful and wonderful!  I have always wished that I could express myself as beautifully as you do and that is even more true today.
 
I am also glad that you wrote after long because I think of you so often and am always wondering how you are doing.  I am just glad that you are still reading the messages from the group, at least intermittently, and hope that things are going better for you than the last time we talked.
 
Too bad it sometimes has to take a tragedy for us all to interact with each other because our lives are so complicated and busy, but I am so glad very glad to know that you are still among us.
 
My heart continues to ache for Cynthia in her loss.  I just hope she has people around her to give her love and support because one can only imagine the intense feelings she is going through during this time so such great sorrow in her life. I just wish I lived close to her so I could be there for her.  She is just so much on my mind since I received Polly's message yesterday, and all I can think of is wanting to give her some kind of comfort.  Just know, sweet Cynthia, that I am sending you as much healing energy and love as is possible, and that I am continuing to ask God and His healing angels to do the same.

I was thinking last night of how difficult it can be for the one who is left behind as our loved ones soar into the fullness of their being.
 
In his time on Earth in this lifetime, Michael did so much for all of us in spreading spirit and being an advocate for the environment.
 
There is no question but that his ongoing spirit is a brilliant beacon of Light

A little girl was talking to her teacher about whales.

The teacher said it was physically impossible for a whale to swallow a human because even though it was a very large mammal its throat was very small.

The little girl stated that Jonah was swallowed by a whale.

Irritated, the teacher reiterated that a whale could not swallow a human; it was physically impossible.

The little girl said, "When I get to heaven I will ask Jonah".

The teacher asked, "What if Jonah went to hell?"

The little girl replied, "Then you ask him".



A Kindergarten teacher was observing her classroom of children while they were drawing. She would occasionally walk around to see each child's work.

As she got to one little girl who was working diligently, she asked what the drawing was.

The girl replied, "I'm drawing God."

The teacher paused and said, "But no one knows what God looks like."

Without missing a beat, or looking up from her drawing, the girl: replied, "They will in a minute."



A Sunday school teacher was discussing the Ten Commandments with her five and six year olds.

After explaining the commandment to "honor" thy Father and thy Mother, she asked, "Is there a commandment that teaches us how to treat our brothers and sisters?"

Without missing a beat one little boy (the oldest of a family) answered, "Thou shall not kill."



One day a little girl was sitting and watching her mother do the dishes at the kitchen sink. She suddenly noticed that her mother had several strands of white hair sticking out in contrast on her brunette head.

She looked at her mother and inquisitively asked, "Why are some of your hairs white, Mom?"

Her mother replied, "Well, every time that you do something wrong and make me cry or unhappy, one of my hairs turns white."

The little girl thought about this revelation for a while and then said, "Momma, how come ALL of grandma's hairs are white?"



The children had all been photographed, and the teacher was trying to persuade them each to buy a copy of the group picture.

"Just think how nice it will be to look at it when you are all grown up and say, 'There's Jennifer, she's a lawyer,' or 'That's Michael, He's a doctor.'

A small voice at the back of the room rang out, "And there's the teacher, she's dead."



A teacher was giving a lesson on the circulation of the blood. Trying to make the matter clearer, she said, "Now, class, if I stood on my head, the blood, as you know, would run into it, and I would turn red in the face."

"Yes," the class said.

"Then why is it that while I am standing upright in the ordinary position the blood doesn't run into my feet?"

A little fellow shouted,
"Cause your feet ain't empty."



The children were lined up in the cafeteria of a Catholic elementary school for lunch. At the head of the table was a large pile of apples. The nun made a note, and posted on the apple tray:

"Take only ONE. God is watching."

Moving further along the lunch line, at the other end of the table was a large pile of chocolate chip cookies.

A child had written a note, "Take all you want. God is watching the apples.

For those who are happy, yes, I am, too. For those who are worrying that their tyrannical power is diminishing, I feel that, too. Do you see?

S: I think so, but I meant as the total God, the entirety of souls in this universe, how do you feel?

GOD: There is no “entirety” of separate pieces, there is amalgamation. The souls are inviolate during their physical lifetimes and remain inviolate in spirit, so they influence within the body of God just as they influence the play unfolding on Earth. It is simple, not complex, but I see that you are not grasping my words.

As a child of mine, you have equal importance with the life of Jesus that Christian religions exalt as perfect in my eyes, and you have equal importance with the soul who is causing misery and death. There are equal amounts of my powers and love within every soul who is born into a body you recognize or a body you do not recognize or a body you cannot even conceive of in appearance. Yet, you wish me to see something that doesn't exist beyond the view of me on Earth, that I am only a loving and merciful God.

With equal aspects of what you think of as good and what you decry as evil, how can I be except what I am? In one stage of my Totality, I was purely light and love. Then parts of my creations descended into the darkness Matthew refers to, but they were nonetheless inseparable parts of my whole. And thus they remain.

That is why I cannot give you the answer that you wish in your heart, dear child, that I am saddened and appalled by the injustice and brutality. Nor can I say that I am gladdened only by what I see of the light being spread on Earth. I can reply only as the amalgamation of the two sides of each soul. Each soul has its potential for goodness and darkness, or godliness as it was in the Beginning and the evil, as you see it, in motion. My child, can you relate to what I am in all truth telling you?

S: I’m sorry, but I just don't know. Please let me read what you said. ….. Thank you. I’m not sure I understand everything, but what you said doesn’t seem consistent with what Matthew has said about a "totally loving God."

GOD: Then let me correct Matthew. There is resistance to who I am in "entirety" anywhere religions prevail. First, I AM that I AM. And what I AM is what you and countless – well, I could have an actual count if I wished to investigate and pass on to you, but I don't want to do that right now – so I shall say that I am the countless beings who have lived in any form in any place within this universe in any speck of time since its Beginning.

I am not a separate oversoul – or parent, if you will – who can see my likeness in a child of myself but am disappointed when the child doesn’t grow into my measurements of good or bad. I have no such measurements for my children! There is that energy balancing of the polar opposites that Matthew calls light and darkness, and that’s as good as any differentiation for the two opposing forces.

Those opposing forces keep the universe spinning, so they are not soon to be changed from their oppositeness or everything would go haywire. As for souls, like everything else in the universe, they are energy, my original light energy as I was co-created by Creator and the highest angelic realm. However, when free will became “abused unmercifully” – I am acceding to using your words because it’s your sentiment, but it is not correct in my eyes, dear one….

Let me start again. I am each person who is judged in such poor light by others who cannot know the heart and soul of that single one. None of you on Earth is connected in awareness at soul level, so your judgments can be quite off kilter insofar as a particular soul's purpose in this lifetime. Each agreed to play his or her part in the balancing act, and I know how often Matthew has told you about the need for balance in each soul so that can extend to all of Earth. To all of the universe, for that matter.

Suzanne, I see that I am straying from what you originally asked: How do I feel about what you and Matthew were discussing? But I did reply to that, just not what you wanted to hear. Shall we go on?

S: Then "personal God" means that you respect each person's life as much as any other?

GOD: Yes, but I know your question about motive and intent counting for more than the evidence. There is the difference, perhaps, that you want so much for me to bring into this commentary. Do I WISH that all of my parts were within the light in which I was created? Yes! Who would not wish that perfection of Creator to be returned!

But I do not hold forth condemnation or punishment to any faltering part of me. I am here to respond to what you call prayers of the "godly" just as I am bound by the laws of Creator that are set up within the parameters of my operating powers if the choice made is not within the light. Do you see?

S: I'm not sure I heard your last statement correctly. If I did, your meaning still isn't clear to me.

GOD: I know that, of course, but I intend to give you frequent opportunities to question rather than my rambling without your understanding any of it. So then, to clarify: I am whoever is living at any time, all the time, anywhere in this universe. I cannot be a separate entity or a power beyond that given to me.

Nor can I make new laws of science or nature that you also call my laws. They are NOT my laws, they are Creator’s laws! Within those I was created and am bound to honor. I don’t object to those laws, but I do object to having them ascribed to me only because it is part of the non-understanding about me that prevails in your minds.

S: If you are the total of darkness and light and you really want the light to prevail, isn’t that denying the darkness what it wants?

GOD: It is gratifying to see you thinking, my dear child. Hatonn would be pleased. Why? Because he is one of my major aspects when it comes to communications and records, and he adores deeper thinking beyond the superficiality of most thoughts emanating from Earth. He’s been given a bum rap there because for ages one of my children has been claiming that what she’s putting out is from him, and that’s not so, but that’s another story.

You are worried that I’m taking sides, or better said, can’t take sides. Then who better to set you straight, my child? I am as much the gentleness and searching and on the lighted pathway as you wish to be, yet there is the part of me that equally is, and cannot deny, that soul whose interests and actions and motives are what you call evil. I am not separate from that soul, and whatever that soul does and all of its effects, however "ungodly," as you think, become within my composite and are an inseparable part of me. So, to say that I could “take sides” of myself is just plain unscientific, isn't it?

S: Then it seems that we’re really just on our own, stumbling along thinking that prayers for anyone's safety or health are reaching you, but actually, all you're doing is being aware. Is it, then, that any actual beneficial intervention is coming from other sources, like the angels, spirit guides, souls in Nirvana or highly evolved extraterrestrial civilizations?

GOD: Is that arrangement so bad, my child? …. You’re waiting for me to continue, as if I didn't say it all right there.

S: Those other sources are you, too, aren't they?

GOD: You see! I didn't intend for this to become like your analysts of the mind who desire you to see for yourselves rather than be told. But it was immensely heartening to me that you came to that realization, just as it was for you, dear Suzanne.

My beloved child, you can see that I am not the God that for all those years you believed me to be. You still cling to the idea that what you were taught is correct – OK, that at least most of it is. But most of it is not! Religion and spirit, or spirituality, are not the same. Well, maybe for a moment now and then in Earth time they were, when some of the people received the truth I sent by various messengers as I intended, and those who did thought of it as “religion.” But actually it was spirit – seeing, feeling, LIVING the light and love in the ministry of my children who carried my Word.

Especially in the case of my child Emmanuel, whom you call Jesus, were the messages quickly subverted into what the self-serving leaders of that day needed to keep their positions of authority and control. Greed and power got in the way of the truth every time. So your religions of today teach the lies inherited from those early leaders who turned them into religious teachings, and woe to those who disagreed!

Matthew has explained this and still you haven’t released all of the hold that your Christian indoctrination gained over your own reasoning powers. Oh, yes, you are opening to the truth because you don’t want your son to be giving forth incorrect information. Of course you don’t! But it’s difficult for you to accept the damage that has been done by the suppression of the truth that time and again I have sent to Earth.

And where has this gotten me? More and more fighting – even killing each other in my name! – between the various religions that have been formed by deliberate distortions of my messengers’ words, that’s where. Each religion thinks it’s absolutely right and is the only right one. Oh, my! And because every one of those souls who believes whatever he or she has been taught is a part of me, and I am all of them, I love all without reservation, you see.

S: God, thank you for talking with me. I guess you know that I'm not really comfortable with what you've said, but maybe with more time to think about it, I will be.

GOD: Child, with humility and respect and divine love I hold you, enfold you, and allow you to experience in accordance with your own needs and wishes. In no moment shall I be separate from you, in no moment shall I be disappointed in you, in no moment will I fault you or judge you, and never shall we be more or less than who we are. And it is the same with all of my children. Amen.

We deserve the best life and love have to offer, be we are each faced with the challenge of learning to identify what that means in our life. We must each come to grips with our own understanding of what we believe we deserve, what we want, and whether we are receiving it. There is only one place to start, and that is right where we are, in our current circumstances. The place we begin is with us.
What hurts? What makes us angry? What are we whining and complaining about? Are we discounting how much a particular behavior is hurting us? Are we making excuses for the other person, telling ourselves we're "too demanding"? Are we reluctant, for a variety of reasons, especially fear, to tackle the issues in our relationships that may be hurting us? Do we know what's hurting us and do we know that we have a right to stop our pain, if we want to do that?
We can begin the journey from deprived to deserving. We can start it today. We can also be patient and gentle with ourselves, as we travel in important increments from believing we deserve second best, to knowing in our hearts that we deserve the best, and taking responsibility for that.
Today, I will pay attention to how I allow people to treat me,and how I feel about that. I will also watch how I treat others. I will not overreact by taking their issues too personally and too seriously; I will not underreact by denying that certain behaviors are inappropriate and not acceptable to me.
