When Divorce takes place , you or your ex move to the other side of the country or the planet and the dust begins to settle on what feels like the remains of your life we are left with more than child support to worry about .
For many of us we have been hard at work leaving the ex to deal with rearing the children and now they are gone .

This group is intended to offer the following

1)practical advice to help you maintain a role in your child's life
2)support when you need it
3)Networking opportunities to reduce the cost of long distance contact (shared travel expenses , shared accomodation etc.)

Like everyone I have the family court and CSA to deal with , there are many groups offering advice and assistance on these matters . My primary concern is for my children and my relationship with them and that is what I want this group to be about .
It is hard enough to be a parent when your kids live around the corner , making a commitment to them from interstate or overseas demands courage and a financial commitment which when added to everything else we have to pay makes life look downright miserable .

But there is hope , if we can network properly and use the skills and resources of the groups members we can maintain our relationship's with the most important people in the world our children.
