Hello All,

I'm Angela. I've decided to learn a new hobby this year and knitting is it. I'm
your basic beginner. I used to play with my mother's needles like drumsticks but
that was it. I bought a kit and have been attempting to learn on my own but
hands on visual help is always better. Whomever has the patience to show me the
ropes it would be greatly appreciated. Unfornately, I am unable to attend on
Thursday nights due to school but my schedule will open up when I'm done in
June.

May life keep you in stitches!

Hello Angela and everyone,
There is a  knittng circle that meets at the Logan Square branch of the
library on wednesday nights - 6:30to 8:30. If that is more convenient for you,
they could help you get started. It seems a shame to wait until June.
                                                                                \
                                  Margaret

Okay knit-(and crochet) lovers! I know it's early but I want to host another
meetup at my house on Sunday, May 10th from 2-5 p.m. I hope you all can make it!
My address is 3649 West Eddy Street and my number is 773-267-0175 if you have
any questions.

Also, I'm wondering if anyone is available to come to my house next Thursday
evening? That would be Thursday, April 9th, from about 6 until 9 p.m. Let me
know and I'll confirm that evening too.

OKAY everyone...no meetup at my house on May 10th (it's Mom's Day). Instead I'm
planning on May 17th. Hope you all can make it.

I'd like to host this Thursday at my house too. The time will be from 6-8:30. I
know that's not a huge window, but I have band practice that evening too...but
if you'd all like to come and knit, I'd love to see you.

Looking forward to the next meet-up at Lee's house. I will tell you all about
the Fiber Fair that I went to in Green Castle, IN, last weekend. Have any of you
gone to it before? I went a little crazy with the spending there, but not as bad
as I could have, because they had EVERYTHING a knitter could want.

Hi everyone,

I haven't been to a meetup in quite a long time, but I do remember when I went
last summer, someone mentioned that they have a connection to Deborah's Place
and that they'd appreciate donated yarn. I have a big sack of yarn that I'll
never use and I'd be happy to donate it - could you get in touch with me if
you're interested in that? I can be reached at hooraycoffee@....

Thanks!

STITCH 'N BITCH TUSCANY: September 2 - 9, 2009
--------------------------------------------------
Come knit in Tuscany this September!
--------------------------------------------------

Hello knitter:

I'm writing to invite you to join me this September for an unforgettable
week-long knitting adventure in the beautiful Tuscan region of Italy. We'll be
based in the gorgeous medieval hilltop town of Cortona, the setting for "Under
the Tuscan Sun."

We'll be visiting a real working angora farm, meeting the incredible lace makers
and lace-making school of Lake Trasimeno, checking out the yarn stores
(including an incredible Italian yarn mill outlet) of Florence, and much more!

And throughout the week, I'll be teaching knitting workshops, including color
knitting techniques, knititng with beads, lace knitting, basic sweater design,
introduction to crochet, and my favorite Stitch Doctor secrets! And of course,
there will be plenty of time to just kick back and Stitch 'n...you kow.

Each day, we'll sample all of the flavors that Tuscany has to offer as we linger
over delicious lunches and dinners, gather for private wine and chocolate
tastings, or just meet in the town square for a pre-dinner Proseco and some al
fresco knitting. We'll also partake in a cooking lesson at a nearby,
five-century-old farmhouse, and get to stay for an elaborate 4-course meal
afterwards.

The cost of the trip includes 7 nights private hotel accomodations at a
beautiful old monastery, all meals and drinks, field trips and museum entrance
fees, knitting and cooking classes, and all materials. Prices start at $2699,
and discounts are available for non-knitting companions.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
SPECIAL OFFER: Enroll before June 1st and receive $200 discount!

http://www.toscanaamericana.com/stollerstitchnbitch.html
-----------------------------------------------------------------

This promises to be an absolutely unforgettable trip, and I really hope you can
come. Sign up by yourself, sign up with some friends, or sign up with your
mother or daughter. But hurry, because space is limited!

Hi Joyce!
I have a housecall in Uptown at 10:30, but I plan to be there right afterwards!
Do you need us to bring anything?

Hello all,

We are still on for knitting brunch this Saturday!

A few people have asked if they should bring something. If you want to, bring
anything you like. However, this is a no-stress event, so don't feel obligated!

Have fun, everyone.  I'll be out at the Logan Square Farmer's Market at about
the same time, participating in an outdoor painting event--a group of local
artists are each painting an interpretation of the farmer's market.  All of the
paintings will be displayed during the Milwaukee Avenue Art Festival at the end
of July.

I have been knitting a lot, but all by myself--so I am proposing a knit night at
our house, 2449 N. Monticello, next week.  We will be out in the yard if the
weather is good.

Hope to see you here,  Ann
