As the old saying goes: “One person’s ‘trash’ is another person’s treasure.” With this in mind, the Lake Mecosta Newaygo Osceola Freecycle(TM), LMNO Freecycle has been established. Our primary goal is to reduce waste by facilitating connections between those wishing to recycle an item rather than throw it away and those looking to obtain free stuff. So whether you are looking to donate, or looking to find an item large or small (furniture, automotive, appliances, sports equipment, dorm lofts and other stuff), this is a great forum for you! The catch…all items must be free. This Yahoo group is open, and not limited to individuals and organizations in the Mid Michigan area and vicinity (currently including the following counties: Lake, Mecosta, Newaygo and Osceola). Of course, members are also welcome from outside the area, and if there is sufficient interest, the Freecycle network may expand to other parts of Michigan. The Yahoo Group LMNO Freecycle has been modeled after (and with the assistance of) similar groups in the Tucson, Kansas City, and Lansing areas.
