To answer all the questions pouring in
And the meeting is at 4:30pm, on Saturday, the 29th of April.
It is at the HP office, at
Shezan Lavelle
No 15,Walton Rd, B'lore-1
Landmark :close to Airlines hotel
Conference room is on the 1st floor.
There are no pre-conditions for attending - you just be there at the
appointed hour and attend.
However, be aware of the fact that the primary purpose of the meeting is
to give Kingsly, Jace, Lawgon and other interested parties a chance to
openly ask (and be asked) questions about the BLUG, and receive (and
provide) answers.
I am sure that given the nature of the meeting, and their concern for the
BLUG and its affairs, none of the above will see a reason not to attend
the meet.
I also request anyone who is interested in BLUG matters to be present at
the meeting, so that they too may ask their questions, as well as provide
answers. This includes any managers of the Linux Bangalore and FOSS.IN
events.
The questions asked at this meeting, along with the answers received, will
be documented and published on the BLUG website.
I request Philip Tellis to act as arbitrator and ombudsman for the
discussion.
After this meeting, it will be deemed that any questions of merit will
have been asked and answered, and that the BLUG and the people involved
with it can get on with their lives.
After this session (which I hope will be amicable and friendly, and expect
will take about an hour or so), we can return to our normal content. Some
suggested talks:
- Shreyas and Kaustubh: Infinity Radio, an internet radio station built
entirely with FOSS tools.
- Mahendra: Configuring and troubleshooting NetworkManager for wired and
unwired interfaces.
- Vinayak: The BSD desktop
- Sp0onman: Your first KDE app - "Hello KDE World".
- Sony: Alternate open source firmware for wireless routers
- Shanu: Using a Palm PDA with Linux and BSD
- Swaroop: Three reasons why Python rules - seeing is believing.
No more than 15-20 mins per talk.
