confident that Lincoln Knitters are in good hands.

Shellie--I was so inspired by your bluebird and nest that I have pulled out the
book to make one.  Or maybe three.  I think I will do a red one (cardinal) and
then I might try to make a robin!

Hope to see all of you next month.

I was hoping that I would have been able to make it to the January meeting, but
holy buckets, my sociology class is killing me! I might not surface until
March... But we'll see how February looks.

I have put PDF files of the squares from Saturday's Guild meeting up. They are
located in the files section of this group. They have their own folder.

I also created a chart to go with the Flower Beds square. This should make it
easier to knit this block.

If you need these in a different format, please let me know, and I will do my
best to help.

I just posted a poll. There has been some discussion about changing where we
meet on the 1st Saturday of the month.

Right now we are meeting at Panera on 66th & O St.

I just want to get a feel for how everyone feels about our location.

We moved to a more central location hoping to boost attendance. We did have a
few new people show up this last Saturday and LOVED it!

If everyone can chime in on the poll, please do so. The poll will automatically
close Feb. 26. There is only 1 question, and 5 answers to choose from.

If you know of a great place (free) that would welcome a group of knitters into
their midst, let me know.

I know no location will please everyone, but I would like to try to make as many
people happy as possible.

Hi Y'all!

The February Lincoln Knitter's Guild is fast approaching: Saturday, Feb. 20,
1-4pm at Walt Library (South 14th Street).  Our main topic, by popular request,
will be Casting On.  We will be covering a variety of cast on methods, including
some provisional and tubular cast ons.

Please bring
--light colored yarn (scraps)
--appropriate size needles for your yarn
--crochet hook
–-any items you are knitting/have knit that you would like to share, need help
with, or wish to work on during the meeting
–-any books you would like to share your opinions on (knitting related)
--a new knitting friend!

Shawn will also be sharing two new squares for this month to challenge us! 
Please bring any January squares that you have completed.

Our Lincoln Knitter's Guild meeting will be on Saturday, March 20.  We will be
focusing on different methods of increasing.  Please bring some scrap yarn and
needles to practice these useful increases.

**NOTE: The March Guild Meeting will be held at Trinity Baptist Church (3801
LaSalle Street, near 40th and Hwy. 2) due to a scheduling conflict at Walt
Library.**

Shawn will be introducing a new square or two for us to knit. If you have
squares from January or February, please bring them along.

Wow! I might have bought some sock yarn. Not telling!
