2 weeks until DC & the Wedding March- are you registered?   Message List

We welcome you to come to DC with us--only a few days left to make your travel plans.  Our buses will have full air condition, working bathrooms, and more as we signed our contracts and reserved buses early.  Don't get stranded on your way there or sit on a school bus for 4-6 hours.
1) Travel to DC for the National Equality March with MENY:
Only a FEW DAYS left to REGISTER for a way to get to DC.
 
2) Fund raise for the National Wedding March to get a t-shirt/umbrella in DC for your efforts, to subsidize costs for travel from NYC, or to just help MENY raise much needed funds for participation in this event and to keep the pressure on Albany to deliver marriage equality! 
 
3) Sunday, October 11, 12:00PM – 5:00PM Marriage Equality NY's Wedding March – our unifying event within the National Equality March Register to receive your own MENY Wedding March T-shirt and umbrella  
 
Marriage Equality New York (MENY) - an all volunteer organization dedicated to making marriage equality the law in New York State and everywhere - is excited to announce these events in Washington, DC during the National Equality March weekend (October 10-11, 2009):
 
1) Saturday, October 10, 5:00PM – 6:30PM
Screening of an award winning new documentary produced in association with
Sundance Channel, "Edie & Thea: A Very Long Engagement"
at the Harman Center (610 F Street NW).

Tickets can also be purchased at screening. Post screening Marriage Equality Networking Mixer.
 
2) Saturday, October 10, 5:30PM – 7:30PM
Marriage Equality Networking Mixer (FREE)
Marriage Equality activists and organizations from around the country and the world are gathering at the Harman Center (mezzanine level - 610 F Street NW) to network and build our marriage equality coalition and community. Cash bar.

Also, Don't forget our general meeting on the first Wednesday of every month- next month, on Oct. 7th, we will discuss the final needs for the March on Washington and the special NYS Senate session in September.  It is at the LGBT Center from 6:30pm to 7:30pm and then it is followed by the Civil Rights Front Meeting from 7:30pm to 8:30pm.
