This group is used for communication to event planners participating in organizing Leopold Weekend events, a celebration that started in Wisconsin and has spread to locations nationwide. Events are themed around public readings of the conservation classic, A Sand County Almanac and activities celebrating the ideas of its author, visionary environmentalist Aldo Leopold. Various representatives from supporting and sponsor organizations are also members of the group. Group members may post messages that will be distributed via e-mail to all other members of the group.
