We are a social networking group for gay women in the Leeds area. We are not limited to the internet; we aim to encourage development of the lesbian community by creating opportunities to meet other women in safe social group situations.

You may simply want to broaden your social circle of gay women or maybe feel that you have 'come out' to yourself but wish to develop your sense of identity within a community of women before feeling ready for relationships. This is the purpose of Leeds Stepping Out.

We have regular meets in bars, meals out, coffee shops and discos. We also go to other lesbian and gay events in Leeds and nearby.

We understand that it can be difficult making your first social steps out as a lesbian, bi or questioning. Many of us have been through that ourselves. The purpose of this group is to help us all get past that.

To make and edit the profile when logged in on your Yahoo ID:

Go to our home page

Put your cursor over your username in the top right hand corner

It will give you a drop down menu

Click on Profile (top option)

You will get a page "Welcome to Your New Profile"

Click on "Continue"

You will get the Profile Info page

Fill in the Display Name with your Yahoo ID name

Click on "Female"

You will get your profile

Click on "Edit Profile" and fill in your age (18 or over)

Click on Save

Click on View my Profile

You will see your public profile

Note that your date of birth is not visible and you do not have to supply location
