Description

This is A mailing list for researchers of the LEAS and related families. It is maintained for the posting of Genealogical
research and questions relating to this surname.

Most of us are descended from Leonard and Salome "Sarah" LEAS of Lancaster and York County, Pennsylvania.

The picture is a page from York County showing 1775 Tavern Licenses; Leonard Leas ran a tavern in Reading Township, York County from 1762-1775, son Daniel in 1782-1783; our family were also weavers.

Please share with the group the names of LEAS
ancestors that you are researching and tell us what you
know of them. If we all share what we know and ask
about what we don't, we can work together to find our
family ties. "Many hands make light the work."

On June 4, 1738, England's King George, III was born. King George was king from 1760-1820. After 1776 it probably was not real fun being the King of England.
