Dear LEAPERS,
Rough Edge Rocked!
big thanks to all those who there and who made it possible. Those who made
it witnessed the unexpected last minute additions of the World Premiere of a
short film from France, and a new poem from Marc. Blimey!
so here's to the next, likely a different format to suit the different venue
:
Portland Arms Weds 22nd November, all content currently TBA
Meantimes if anyone can think of people wishing to perform or contribute
visuals, video, etc. etc. put them in touch
LEAPS thrives on more eclecticism, more energy and more stimulation. Oh yes.
Ditto let me know if you know of / have experience of venues outside
Cambridge we should try, Cc's Bar was pretty good with well plumbed sound,
video and light, but there must be others...
Cheers
Tim
Hi there all. And well done last night - thought it
turned out well - nay excillent.
Thanks to all who helped - I won't list you all so Ill
just say well done.
We need to think about how to use this venue - it's
dead keen for us to come again. Shall we meet up for a
social? if so let me know where you'd prefer and when.
All the best and see you at the Portland on the 22nd
of Nov.

Well done to all concerned with last night's extravaganza at CC's!
Most enjoyable, speaking both as a performer and as a viewer.
If anyone has any audio/video footage of the event, please let me know so we
can think about getting it onto the LEAPS website. I'd have a particular
interest in footage of my friend & I (Darkroom) for use on our website.
cheers,
os.

Dear All - There is going to be a Leaps General
Meeting to decide policy and elect executives (and
have a beer or two) on:
Thursday 21st Sept at 9.00pm in CC's
- the new bar next to Red TV at the end of Sturton
Street (not fare from the East Road/Newmarket Road
Roundabout).
We need nominations for:
President
Secretary
Treasurer
Publicity Officer
Artistic Director
These are the posts as laid down in the constitution,
but:
It's possible that the post of Artistic Director can
be split into two, Treasurer could be split into
accounts and fundraising, secretary into membership
and general secretary, publicity into printed and
media (eg creating and distributing flyers, and
contacting papers and notifying people via e-mail). We
could also do with a technical officer.
We also need voluenteers for those little jobs like
distributing flyers, sticking stamps on envelopes and
that kind of thing.
Please pass this information on to anyone you think
should know. Sorry if you get this msg twice - I'm
going for belt and braces.
All the best - Cos

Will be good - she has a load of new material and a

Hi leapers, just a quick warning (although somewhat late as I lost the leapslist address) that there's a virus infected "joke" doing the rounds- don't open any attachments with "joke" in the document title- although I'm sure that it was unintentional (yes, Raoul!)
Er, Dear everyone who got this mysterious e-mail from
the Borg drone known as Miss Roberts (6of12) there
appears to have been an error in her programming and
she is undergoing corrective bio-implantation.
It was meant to be sent to my sister Susan in San
Francisco - you know the kind of thing, you find a
message, you want to reply, you click on "reply" and
presto! every one on your list gets a copy.

Thanks to all those who came and worked hard to make
HM work. I enjoyed it, hope you did.
Our next plan is getting together down the pub to chat
about what our next project will be (I for one plan to
moove to more like one event every two months - I've
taken part in 30 different things so fare this year -
Jo has done another 10 on top of that - so a reduced
load seems sensible). If you have a prefered pub and
time let me know.
I start work propperly for Sound Sense (a Community
Music umbrella group thingy) today so I'd better get
to work before I'm sacked.
