The Tutor/Mentor Leadership Conference brings together program leaders, volunteers, and supporters to build the capacity of the tutor/mentor movement in Chicago and other cities. At the conference participants share effective strategies in a variety of workshops, while, many leaders will be looking to meet with other leaders to talk of ways they can work together. Conferences have been held twice a year since May 1994. The average 200-250 participants with people coming from cities like Milwaukee, Tulsa, Toledo, Atlanta, Washington, Kansas City, and from smaller cities in Illinois and Michigan. An eConference Overlay was added in May 2004 so that people from around the world could participate and network with people who come to the conference in Chicago. This eGroup is where much of the conference planning takes place. We encourage you to join and help make more and better training and networking opportunities available to you and the volunteers in your organization.
