As Mindspillers, we combat writer's block by doing daily 10-minute free-form writing practice called freewriting. We provide a different daily writing prompt Monday through Friday to help tantalize the muse (excluding holidays and weekends).

This creative writing list is for LDS members (i.e. Mormons) only. Lurkers will be unsubscribed. We want committed writers and expect personal accountability and participation since space is limited (our cap is 10)! Total daily time commitment is about 30 minutes (10 min. for your daily freewrite plus 20 min. for giving feedbacks to others) Let us help you establish disciplined, daily writing-practice habits. That's what this list is about.

One special exception: during the months of February, May, August and November, the list is slow due to many of our members participating in our Novel Time-Out Month to work on their longer projects. Those participating in Novel Time-Outs are excused from daily prompts/feedbacks on LDS MindSpill during those times, but are still expected to give weekly check-ins on their progress.
