(OREM, Utah)— Campbell Carelink announces the launch of LDS Medcare, a
health care assistance organization for the Latter-day Saint community. LDS
Medcare will serve LDS families by providing members and leaders with
prescription assistance, financial help, and educational information.
LDS Medcare estimates that of the 60,000 LDS families in the United States
who do not have health care or prescription benefits, 15,000 of those
families struggle each month to pay for their health care and medication.
“In response to the growing health care crisis we created an organization
that can save the church and its members millions of dollars each year.”
Said Aaron Campbell, Founder and Director of Outreach Services.
LDS Medcare leverages resources and relationships in the pharmaceutical
industry to not only save members money on medications, but to also help
local leaders reduce the money they provide for members receiving medication
related church assistance.
This year LDS Medcare has plans to provide prescription and financial
assistance to 2,000 LDS families across the country. Since launching their
web site on July 9th, LDS Medcare has received over 30 applications for
assistance and dozens of letters of support from members across the country.
“We recently helped a family from California save enough money on their
prescriptions that they are now able to pay for their son’s mission. We help
families like this everyday day.”
In addition to giving financial and prescription assistance to directly to

that need help, LDS Medcare has educational information for local leaders
and members
that can be downloaded from ldsmedcare.org. This free information is
available for distribution to Bishops, Relief Society Presidents, local
leaders, family members, and others who know of members that need help. LDS
Medcare invites anyone to use this information freely to help out those in
need.
“We rely on word-of-mouth and referrals to find those 15,000 families that
need assistance.” says Campbell. “Obviously, it is impossible for our
organization to reach every member across the country, so, it is important
that local leaders and members tell our brothers and sister who need
assistance that LDS Medcare can help.”
Even though LDS Medcare serves the LDS community, it is not officially
affiliate or endorsed by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint. LDS
Medcare is a division of Campbell Carelink. Based in Utah, Campbell Carelink
owns and operates several businesses in the healthcare, pharmaceutical and
financial services industries.
