LDS-Attached-Moms is a discussion list for parents (fathers are welcome too!) who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and who practice Attachment Parenting. AP is a style of parenting that includes intuitive, loving parenting, breastfeeding, "wearing" baby, family bedding (or modifications of the family bed), child-led weaning, loving discipline (as opposed to spanking and other "punishment" forms), etc. Not all AP parents will use all these techniques, but all should be interested in raising children in a loving manner.
The list is open to all AP parents, or parents interested in learning about AP methods, and membership in the church is not required. However, all listmembers are required to abide by the tenets of the church in their posts, and should respect the teachings of the church.
Flaming, rudeness, name-calling, judging, etc., are NOT ALLOWED. Listowner reserves the right to remove any listmembers who refuse to abide by the rules. This list is a forum for discussion of AP methods and their application within the LDS lifestyle.
To join this list, please send e-mail to the listowner (LDSmama@msn.com) with your first name, state/province of residence, and a short explanation of why you want to join our group.
Questions should be directed to the listowner: Amy Benson
