Dear Tony,
Not so far from where you lived in Togo (Central Africa and farther south
than you were) is thought to be the loacation of the first 23 Chromosome man or
"Adam". The first woman "Eve" is thought to be close by but
100 miles farther north and west. Am not sure how being they were 100 miles
apart, how the race got into motion. However, scientist think it all started in
Central Africa and moved in all directions from there.
It seems to me that you have a bit of uncertainty about your last name.
Since the DNA test costs $100 I would advise you to wait to see if any other
Lasseys ever test and you have someone to test against. There are only 8 of the
Lacy/Lacey group.
