WE HOLD LIVE CLASSES!!
Actually learn to speak and write the Lakota language with live, online classes held by enrolled Lakota and hunka(adopted)Lakota teachers! We have an extensive file site for reference. We hold 11 live, interactive classes per week using Yahoo IM audio conferences. Classes are free of charge and we pioneered this method of teaching Lakota and are the only online site which holds regularly scheduled live Lakota language classes. Classes include basics and advanced bilingual story seminar discussions to which every student is invited regardless of level of Lakota ability.
Your participation in at least one class per week is strongly encouraged if you wish to join this site and we welcome all with good hearts who wish to take this journey with us, including those from countries outside of the USA.
We offer everything from basic Lakota grammar to translation exercises, pronunciation practice and conversational skills as well as cultural discussions and bilingual story and book discussions and translations and we invite you to take the journey with us!
