I think your article was exactly correct, men tend to be much more
self centered than women.
Which makes it even more remarkable that as many women painters
accomplish as much as they do, and still show up to paint.
And keep on painting.
There are lots of great women painters out there, it's amazing how few
get recognized.
But we never give up the idea that some day we will get the
recognition we deserve, it's what keeps me painting. That and the pure
joy of the art.
It keeps us humble, unlike some of us.
