I am spending Diwali here in India after a lapse of nearly 10 years! Unlike our
childhood, I don't find crackers going off late nights and early mornings.
Things are much quieter here these days.

I'm leaving for Japan on the 20th. My sister's cataract surgeries on both eyes
were successful; she's much better now.

I'm in touch with Shashin and we met a few times; during these two months, I
have left Matunga only two days; one day my IIT KGP friend picked us all up from
my house to took us to his house in Kanjur Marg for a late supper; and yesterday
when I went to Big Bazaar, Parel to pick up some gifts for family and friends.

I hope Raju and JP are fine. I read messages from TP and Ramdas occasionally,
but haven't had any from these two guys.
