Re: [QST de K4LRG] Digital Greetings from Field Day   Message List
Reply Message #7722 of 13944 |
Hi Jeff,

Very cool. My copy was posted to my EarthLink email mailbox with a time of 10:20 AM on the 24th. It was stuck in my EarthLink 'on-line' suspected spam mailbox like all stuff from folks who are not in my address book. The K4LRG@... address has now been added; so. I'm ready for more traffic.

Please, sometime, tell us more about how all this magic works and where do I go to get a winlink.org address. What software and hardware do I need. Maybe we should put this into our 'kit' bag for our next emergency exercise for use when the 'balloon goes up.' We should really know how well this stuff would work in a real operation - like traffic load, response time, reliability, etc. This stuff keeps moving; what is or what is going to be the standard suite in ARES, RACES, MARS, Loudoun EOC? I would welcome a 'Digital Committee' for the LARG.

Anyway, very interesting and thanks. This should get us a c-note for our Field Day score.

See You In The Pile-Ups.   Best Regards,
