KANG WHA-DO VETERANS
WELCOME HOME
The purpose of the Kang Wha-do Veterans Group is to preserve the memory of our service in the Army Security Agency (ASA), on the island of Kang Wha-do, Korea, with the 226th USASA Operations Company - and its predecessor and successor units - during the period of 1956-1976.
We meet on-line, and at national reunions throughout the country, to share those stories, recollections, photographs, songs, and documents that constitute the history of the Kang Wha-do Mountain Men.
So, if you were a Mountain Man of Kang Wha-do, come visit with us awhile. Meet some old comrades and share your photographs, stories, and memories with us. You will find that you are among brothers here.
Once you become an active member of the group, you may also wish to visit our
[REUNION]
site for present day activities of the Group and the Kang Wha-do
[ARCHIVES]
for historic information and first-person accounts of life on the Island by those who lived it to the fullest.
Our public web-site serves as a "light in the window" for our missing Mountain Men. It is intended for family and friends of Mountain men. It depicts our life on the island without the disclosure of information best held privately within our Group.
