Description
This site is for those interested in keeping up to date on events and happenings in the swing community (Lindy hop, East Coast, Blues, Balboa, Shag, etc) at the University of Kansas and in the Lawrence/KC area.
The KU Swing Society (KUSS) meets every Tuesday night at the Kansas Room, on the 6th floor of the KS Union, on the KU camups at 1301 Jayhawk Blvd., in Lawrence. We offer beginners' lessons, 8-8:45pm, and open social dancing, 8:45-11:00. Admission is FREE! This night is open to EVERYONE! Announcements concerning Swing Night cancellation will be posted here in cases of snow or emergencies. Check out the swing pics too!
***Swing this Summer (5/19 - end of August) will be at the Camelot II Ballroom, 1112 Massachusetts St. every Tuesday from 8-11 p.m.***
If you would like to join this group, please include a message in your joining application to let us know you're a real person, and not a spammer (this includes distant swing exchange updaters. Dancers who want to go to your event know where to find info!). If you do not include a message, your membership request will be denied. We are now forced to do this to protect our group members from spam. Sorry!
