SiliconAndhra is planning to organize the FIRST ever International Kuchipudi Dance Convention from June 20th to 22nd, 2008 in Cupertino, California, USA. Kuchipudi dance originated in India in a small village during 13th century. In 14th century, the dance was formalized by a saint and from then it spread around the world. But this is the FIRST time ever a convention is planned in the 600 year old history of this dance form to bring together five generations of dancers from living legends to current students, who are learning this art form. There is a tremendous positive response from the dancers' community from all over the world. More than 2000 delegates are expected to attend from all over USA and many countries around the world. Several top government officials form US and India would be attending the same.

We would like to host this convention in an unprecedented manner. During the convention, we will be having lecture demonstrations, research paper presentations, work shops and of course GRAND performances.
