Kruger Rally 100
Saturday, August 30th - September 1st 2008
7:00am assembly 8:00am Start
Paddling 100 miles from Sauk City WI to Wyalusing WI on the Wisconsin and Missisippi Rivers.
There is no charge for you as a challenger to research develop plan and execute your paddle. Costs incurred before during and after the event will be the responsibility of each challenger. Including and not limited to maps charts permits and accommodations before during and after the challenge.
Challenge suggested rules:
1. Solo or Tandem Challengers.
2. You must proceed in a safe and prudent manner. Never put yourself or others in danger at any time.
3. You must travel within your ability. Assess presenting conditions.
4. You must carry all gear supplies navigational and safety equipment you deem necessary and / or by law.
5. Any watercraft you feel is suitable for your ability and the course presented is fair game as long as its forward motion is by human power or wind. Please no motorized propulsion of any kind will be allowed.
6. You must research information to insure safe passage. Prepare, scout locations, ask questions and execute your float plan accordingly.
7. You must have sustainability for multiple days while in the challenge. You may replenish along the way, begging borrowing and buying, of supplies.
8. Support team or land crews are exceptable.
9. You must stay true to the course at hand.
10. You must enjoy yourself and present yourself in an appropriate manner at all times. Participation in this event does not put you outside the law or give you any more or less rights then anyone else on the water.
Note:
This event is kept loose allowing challengers the opportunity to meet other like minded people who enjoy adventure. Donations to the Kruger Memorial are encouraged.
