June 2009: Happy Pride Fest! And Welcome to our Group.

Knoxville Rainbow Families will be at Knoxville Pride Fest on June 27th 2009. Please come check us out.

We will have a sign up sheet for upcoming activities and play dates. As well as a drawing for a PhotoMosaic of the Aids Memorial Quilt by Robert Silver.

Our Group Description: Offering support and networking to parents/guardians that are Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Women and Men in Knoxville, TN.

Parents in other locations may be considered for membership as well.

Rainbow Families main objective is to offer support to GLBTQ parents/guardians as they are raising their children.

Rainbow Families is an informal and interactive e-list to share experiences, offer support, plan and attend parenting activities.

Participants are welcome to share links as well as family photos.

Absolutely no spam, no flaming, no inappropriate photos or personal ads.

Please be aware that parts of new member applications will be shared with the group.

Our participation policy is mutual respect and friendly support.

We had a Rainbow Family picnic in June 07' with 32 participants. Thank goodness there was a water park right by the picnic tables. That was some wet fun! In August 08' we had my 40th Birthday party which many members attended also more wet fun with the slipnslide. Please watch for our 3rd Annual Picnic/Get Together this August 2009.

**We would like to break the groups up into North South East and West Knoxville, so some members won't have to drive so far.

**Still need a 0-4 yr olds Play date coordinator volunteer, this person will plan activities, for parents and children that are younger than 4 yrs old
