Depending on where you live in Massachusetts you can visit any of the
historic ships currently on display. The volunteers are always interested
in helping others with maritime crafts. Two sites with historic ships are
Battleship Cove in Fall River Massachusetts and USS Cassin Young in the
Charlestown Navy Yard.

James, I really hope you find someone in your area. I was in the same situation about a year ago, and luckily found a great Turks Head tyer here in Minnesota....
