May 9th - 2012 Brown Bag Exchange
The theme of our 2012 Brown Bag Exchange is “Flowers”. As you know, this is a unique opportunity to have a fellow guild member use their talent to design/create a unique project using your “Yarn”. Projects will incorporate “Flowers” in some way– a floral pattern, motif, beaded, freeform, embroidered and so on. Designers are encouraged to use their imagination and go crazy! Last year, participation proved to be an enjoyable experience for all.

Bring “Yarn” to the May Guild Meeting on May 9th. Please choose a yarn that’s somewhere between 100 and 200 yards total. If it takes more than one skein to meet the yardage requirement – that’s ok. Place “Yarn” in a Brown Paper Bag --- do not write your name on the bag. If the yarn label is missing, please be sure to include any information about the “Yarn” (weight, fiber content, etc.) that may be of help to the lucky Brown Bag Designer. A table will be set up at the meeting where bags will be turned in, assigned a number and owner’s name placed on a list. Then during the meeting break, members will pick up a Brown Bag and we’ll jot down who got each bag. The “Projects” are due on August 8th – at the August Guild Meeting. “Projects” (complete or not) should be brought to the meeting in a Brown Bag and handed to an officer.
