Re: [kitecat] Re: PL Monohull.

Peter has been working on a monohull of a different sort so I still think it might be a good idea to get in touch with him via the Kite Factory.
He just may have a suggestion or two.

Yeah I know the Kat rules!  I rode one that Blake had at Lake McConaughy NE a few years back.  I of course don't have the dead presidents to afford one that's why I rock the Monohull!  I have a disease.  I like too many toys to invest all my money in one thing.  Buggies, boards, boats, makes me wish I would have married for money!

Anyway, I'll figure something out.  I love to whitewater kayak as well, another freaking hobby, and I think I might be able to use one of my super small playboats as an outrigger.  Or transfer the monohull hardwear to a surf playboat.  Or..  I can just teach myself how to sail it better.  I learned that if you were riding paralell to the waves if you cut upwind hard predicting the wave crest you could punch through it better.  Most of the waters I sail are inland lakes so it's not too bad, but I do live about 45 minutes from Lake Superior and always thought it would be sweet to tour there.  But Superior can get waves that people actually surf on.  You can shoot the freshwater tube up here man.  In those conditions I probably should just pick up the board and ride the dragon.

I'll keep the group posted on any thing I try.  I have to assume PL tried all they could with the monohull and just scraped it so not much more I can do, but we'll see!  I still believe a whitewater boat with foot pedals in the cockpit to rudders on the bottom would be a blast.  It' be like unhooked kitesurfing when those waves came.  You could surf and ride them using your trunk muscle control to throw the boat around..  Sweetness.
