If you can be a bit patient :-))
I have KiteCat #3 so been at it a while now.
I just got a new 19M Synergy to upgrade from My old Venom 1 which has been the tool of choice so far.
As soon as I get the opportunity I will report on the new kite and using it with the Cat.
But the ice has not gone from the local river yet so it will probably not be until late May or early June depending on how spring progresses.
I hope to use the kite well before then and will have a good idea of it potential fairly soon.
Check back in May and ask me again :-))
The other choice is to get a used V 19 if you are on a budget.
So if that's you choice give me an email of group as I have one!
Hope this helps

Hi Folks, When you talk about the kite and open or closed cell by name I am confused. Is there someplace I can find the characteristics of these different canopy's. I am a sailor and the first time I saw a boarder use one of these things was in LaPaz Mexico. I have been reading up on them and the idea of a cat hooked to one intrigues me. My only reservation is the low wind conditions I have seen way to often, It was that post on what canopy to use in low wind that made me deside to investigate further. I am wanting to know what sail to use for what. open/closed cell any other info you might be able to present would be great as I would rather get canopies for my conditions rather than learn the hard way. Also is there a tutorial on how to sail a kite?
