A group to enable researchers to Share information relating to Family, Local, Social and Economic history in the Hundred of KILMERSDON Somerset England.
FROM GENUKI: "KILMERSDON, a hundred in the county Somerset, contains the parishes of Ashwick, Babington, Buckland-Denham, Hardington, Hemington, Holcombe, Kilmersdon, Radstock, Stratton-on-the-Fosse, and Writhlington, comprising an area of 15,400 acres."
Not sure when the above was written, but the Parish of COLEFORD was formed out of KILMERSDON in 1843 and should presumably be in this Hundred - see:
Somerset Archives .
VOBSTER lies between here and MELLS see:
Vision of Britain MELLS page.
Somerset Family History serves as a central entry point for the 40 Somerset Hundreds and will receive announcements of all file uploads to the 40 Hundreds.
Many of these Villages and Parishes lie close to FROME and information may be available in the archives of the
FROME Group or
Frome Research Group Site
