Re: Lawn (shiba) in various kigo

Enjoyed reading your ku, Heike.  What the grasses whisper while our backs our turned only the birds can tell ... and may it stay that way!

tall grass

popping up here and there

red poppies

trampled grass

somewhere hidden

a bird's nest

dear Olga san,
I like your haiku. the question is only, are there herbs (to sweeten
the grass) on a lawn ( grass under special care; or is here the
haiku-moment: yeah, after the rain!!! )
I'm not sure, but I liked it:

a haiku I wrote 2006 (maybe Gabi remembers/recalls my old website)

one-hour rain
meager land breaks its silence..
grasses tell
[kigo: monsoon rain/summer; rain falls usually 1-2 hours - not more]

regards
Heike
