Khush, initiated in 1992, is the oldest co-gender electronic mailing list for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender South Asians and their allies. Postings cover a variety of themes including coming out, support, culture, politics, organizing, events, as well as poetry, essays, fiction and other expressions of queer desi creativity.

The list is administered by six members who are responsible for dealing with duplicate postings and commercial or offensive/hate mail. Messages posted by new members are automatically forwarded to the list owners for approval - this is a spam-prevention feature. Hence such messages may take a day or two to appear on the list.
