This egroup will take the load off of page-serving sites like Metafilter (300+ messages, served up each time someone reads, previews, or posts, is a lot of bandwidth!), and out of the maelstrom of public opinion.
Interested parties may continue their discussion of the situation, pooling information, following up loose ends, sharing feelings, and considering alternatives for bringing this to a close or preventing future recurrence.
