Just a note to let you all know that the benefit held for Kathie Bryson in St.Louis this past Saturday was a huge success. Sonny West drove down from Nashville and picked me up and we set out on icy roads...it took us 7-3/4 hours for a normally 4-1/2 hour drive, but we felt we had to be there for Kathie.  The silent auction and event raised over $5,000 thanks to generous donations from Elvis fans. That will buy Kathie's medicine (Nexavar), and the lotion for the radiation burns for 6 months.  Here are a few photos from that night:
Aron and Clarissa Hulsey drove from Sullivan to surprise me. Aron is the son of my dear friend, the late Joyce Biddie Hulsey.
Here is Kathie with Sonny, Ramonda Brady, me, Nancy Cunningham
This is oldies djs Mad Maynard and Jackie presenting Kathie with a special t-shirt. They have known Kathie since the 50s when she was known as T-Bird Kathie because of her Thunderbird and the car club she belonged to.
 
It was a very special night. There were donations from the Oklahoma Elvis Fan Club, Elvis fans from all over the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia! Elvis fans are the best!...but then you knew that!

Really sick of snow and more coming tomorrow and Monday but I guess it could be worse. I just talked to Kathy and California is in the middle of horrible storms, floods and mud slides as we speak.

Oh I know he did --- and he must of meant it big- time.  We're getting more tomorrow.  I can't even imagine getting as much snow as you did John. We got 13 inches a few weeks ago and that was way to much for me. The snow plows didn't get around to plowing our street for two weeks. They just couldn't keep up with the snow.

Good afternoon everyone. Be safe wherever you are at. We are suppose to be getting snow late tonight so we are under a winter storm watch. Suppose to be getting 5 to 10 inches of snow starting late tonight. This week will be my last week on unemployment. The girl I talked to said to keep watching my home page after this week because I might get some more money. So please say a giant prayer for me that something good will happen by next week. Anyway thanks for all of the shares and be safe.
