Good afternoon. Still don't feel good. I still have the cough and can't sleep very good at night. I just called the Dr. So I am waiting on the phone call. My aunt fell last night and hit her head and has a mild concussion. She is in the hospital right now. Her culmantive is real high so they are watching that too. Please say a prayer for her. Thanks. It is suppose to storm today again so I might not be on for very long. Be safe.

Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. is sad to share news of the loss of a very well loved member of the Graceland family.

After a full life of roaming the pastures of Graceland for 21 years, Sun’s Reflection, a Palomino American Quarter Horse, died of respiratory distress on August 14th, 2009.

Every effort to save the life of Sun’s Reflection was made by an expert team of veterinarians from the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine, but Sun was unable to overcome his respiratory problems associated with age.

Sun came to Graceland in June of 1988 following the loss of Elvis’ horse, Rising Sun. Sun’s Reflection and Rising Sun came from the same blood line and both were purchased from the same farm.

Sun’s presence at Graceland represented Elvis’ love for the Palomino Quarter Horse and he will be missed by the staff of Graceland Stable in addition to the many fans that have come to know him through their visits to Graceland.

Good morning members. I am back from The Promised Land of Memphis, and as always hated to return to real life. In spite of my request for people not to email me while I was gone I had over 1000 messages this am, so if you sent me one, I may not answer. I had 2 dr appointments yesterday and my eyes were dilated which is why I was not on the computer yesterday. My camera "ate" some of my photos (GRRR) or either the person I asked to take them didn't know how...the one of my friend Joe Petruccio and my dear friend Donna Lewis did not come out, nor did several others...but I do have some good ones to share. I will later share the link where you can view them all but for now will just throw in a few of them.

The saddest news is that the last horse with a direct link to Elvis' horses, Sun's Reflection, passed away on August 14. He was a Palomino American Quarter Horse and he was at Graceland for 21 years. A team of doctors from Mississippi State University College of Medicine tried in vain to save him but he was in respiratory distress associated with his age. Sun's Reflection was brought to Graceland in June 1988 after the death of Elvis' beloved Rising Sun. Both horses came from the same blood line and were purchased from the same owner. The employees at EPE and the many fans will miss Sun's Reflection.

The pastures will have a bit of emptiness without his beautiful face.

As usual, Memphis was a busy and fun-filled week! It started for me with dinner with Darlene Tompkins, my friend who was Patsy Simon in "Blue Hawaii", at The Majestic Restaurant downtown, followed by the ETA contest. You know that I don't normally go to those, but Darlene had asked me to go with her and gotten a ticket for me. I did see a lot of old friends there including Stephen Freeman. Here we are riding the trolley from the restaurant to the Convention Center.

with The next day was Meet The Authors event at the Dolan house Judy Palmer, Jimmy Velvet, Donna Lewis, Larry and Roger Loyd (Harold's sons) were there and Ed Bonja dropped in as well.

The President's event was awesome for me - although a little emotional. I wore my peacock pants and jacket and everyone flipped over it! I gave out every card of Rose's that I had and was giving out her email for it. It really was beautiful and the compliments on it were fantastic!

I was very proud of our fan club and the contributions we have made in Elvis' memory and the fact that we were spotlighted this year.

Pat Koogle, who now leases the Dolan house, has worked very hard to put it in god shape, along with Peggy, Pamela, Katrina, Jake, Terry Sue, Bubba and others in the Memphis group. They raised over $1000 for charity on the 15th through donations from the fans.

Don't know how many of you know my friend Tina. She is a black belt who studied under Ed Parker, and also licensed as a PI - she worked as Sonny's bodyguard while we were in Memphis - she is so great at crowd control, and I would have to name her an Eaglette LOL - Elvis called Sonny Mr Eagle because of his sharp eyes and Tina runs a close second.

Don't let her smile fool you - she's tough LOL

Two friends heard that I was there and came by to see me: Barbara Hearn and Becky Yancy...Unfortunately I missed Barbara twice, but Davis Taylor brought Becky so she and Sonny got to visit as well. As most of you know Becky was Elvis' secretary - Sonny said for 100 years LOL . Barbara was one of Elvis' first girlfriends and a delightfully charming lady. Here are photos of Sonny and Becky. They shared a couple of stories which we all enjoyed.

I also got the opportunity to meet Marty Lacker for the very first time. He was not at all what I expected and was very cordial and I enjoyed our conversations.

The screening of Memphis Rising was fantastic!! It is a cute sci-fi movie and the storyline is believable. Here is a photo of me with Sonny and Mike Zehr who played "Rock" West (Red) Sonny played himself.

I got to put some faces with names this year and was happy to see Jeremy Roberts at several events and have him share his photos with me.

Our flowers were gorgeous - they were a tribute to the Star in Vegas with photos that I took in Vegas on them

This This is the first time in 5 years that I have not been able to do the walk-up! My schedule was so full and the nights so long I couldn't get there in time! I also did not visit the shops for the first time - other than the outlet to get a pair of pjs LOL> The flowers were first by Glady's grave within the fence, then they were moved. At Candlelight they were to the right of the steps, the first ones, as you stepped up into the Meditation Garden. I did better this year than 2 years ago as my legs and knees held out really well! We had TONS of compliments on the beautiful picture on the back of our shirts which Loxi Sibley drew. Several people took photos and Gabe said he was putting it up on facebook and twitter...so if anyone sees them, please snag them and send them on for my scrapbook! Thanks again to Loxi for her amazing talent and for letting us use the photo...it will be on our shirts forever!

My Sirius interview was a lot of fun - as always. TY, Argo and Big Jim have become like family to me. Argo says my interview has become a tradition - I love it!

The Marlow's luncheon was a HUGE success with over 50 people in attendance. Two guests who called me the day before were Barbara Klein Bauer and JoCathy (Elvis called her JC) Brownlee Elkington, former Elvis girlfriend. Special thanks also to Alvin Smith for his encouraging and most welcome words at the event. Thanks to Marshie Martin for making the name tags and the membership cards...which I have here.

Art Patrick and his club, Elvis Memorabilia, presented Sonny and me with an award for continuing the legacy of Elvis. This is our second year to receive this prestigious award. Thanks to Art for his thoughtfulness.

Keith and Linda LeBlanc. Canadian members of my fan club, won the window contest at Days Inn, for the third year in a row, and presented me with the winning picture! I was honored to have received this wonderful picture which Keith worked so hard on.

We were at the tent a couple of nights and were so thrilled to hear Cody Slaughter. He has come a long way since I first met him in Branson when he was 14 !

Also Chris Drummond was at the tent and to honor Danny McCorkle and his wife, donations were being taken to send them on a Hawaiian vacation.

They show up on mine too June...perhaps the ones not getting them need to go to Tools, Options, Security, and be sure that the box under Download Images that says block is not checked. Hope this helps

Sometimes June when I cannot pull up the pictures on Internet Explorer, I will use Firefox as my browser and usually I can see the pictures. Don't know why but that is what works for me. I was able to see them as they were sent this time though. Hope this helps someone. Bonnie

I have been trying to get to my gmail accts and all I get is an error 414 request URL too large. Is anyone else getting this? I am able to download the mail into incredimail though. Thanks
