Please everybody that said they want a CD or both CDs email me your address and tell me which CDs you want. Shawn has his first CD, "From The Heart", and his second CD, "Live At Foxwoods. I will find out a price tomorrow. We may have a few cassettes available of From The Heart also if anyone would like one of those. I will post prices for all of them tomorrow. Then I will get on getting the CDs and mailing them out to everybody. I don't think I will take any orders for the new CD yet as it is not ready. I will let everybody know when it is ready and then I get a list of names who want that CD. I don't even have the name of that CD yet. Thanks Everybody..........Terri
Hey Terri,
You know you have to add me to the list for Shawn's new cd!! : ) Also,
if his "Live from Foxwoods" cd is still available I would LOVE to buy
that as well since that is where I mainly see him on tour!! : ) {{hugs}}

In commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of Rock-n-Roll and Elvis' first recording at Sun Studio - Jamie Aaron Kelley recently recorded with the Dempsey's at Sun Studio in Memphis.  The CD is entitled " The Sun Also Rises" and will be released this Spring.
Special Edition advance orders are being taken right now with only 209 being made which includes pictures of the recording session and song lyrics.  The album also includes 2 songs that Jamie wrote himself.  The Special Editions are $20 plus $3 shipping (US) and you can find out more and hear a medley of the songs at www.jamieaaronkelley.com  or email kingofthehill@... for further details.
The regular version of this CD will be available at Loose Ends shop in Memphis or thru the Internet but the regular version will not be released until one month after the 209 numbered Special Editions are mailed out.  209 is the number of Elvis' first recording of "That's Alright Mama"  - Sun #209.
See the attached flyer.

THIS PROMO IS SO COOL!!! MIND YOU ITS ONLY 3 INCHES BIG. IT WILL PLAY

It is the VETERAN, not the preacher,
who has given us freedom of religion.

It is the VETERAN, not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.

It is the VETERAN, not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.

It is the VETERAN, not the campus organizer,
who has given us freedom to assemble.

It is the VETERAN, not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is the VETERAN, not the politician,
Who has given us the right to vote.

It is the VETERAN,
who salutes the Flag,

who serves under the Flag,

ETERNAL REST GRANT THEM O LORD,
AND LET PERPETUAL LIGHT

 SHINE UPON THEM.

I don't know if you saw this in the news but it really impressed me.  Funny,
our US Senate/House took 2 days off as they couldn't work.

On the ABC evening news, it was reported tonight that, because of the dangers from Hurricane Isabelle approaching Washington DC, the military members assigned the duty of guarding the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier were given permission to suspend the assignment.

They refused. "No way, Sir!"

Soaked to the skin, marching in the pelting rain of a tropical storm, they said that guarding the Tomb was not just an assignment, it was the highest honor that can be afforded to a serviceperson.

The tomb has been patrolled continuously, 24/7, since 1930.

We can be very proud of our young men and women in the service no matter where they serve.

God Bless them.

If you want to honor our Veterans and Military, please pass this on.

Kathy met Jamie at Vernon's house several years ago when he was about 12 years old, I think it was.  Have to find the pictures.  She was very kind to him.
Love to hear her sing.  We also ran into a friend of Kathy's who was the band leader for the Platters group in Branson.  We passed along his message to her as they were friends a long time when she was in Branson.
Hope to see you in Memphis again soon!

Kathy met Jamie at Vernon's house
several years ago when he was about 12 years old, I
think it was.  Have to
find the pictures.  She was very kind to him.
Love to hear her sing.  We
also ran into a friend of Kathy's who was the band
leader for the Platters group
in Branson.  We passed along his message to her as they
were friends a long
time when she was in Branson.
Hope to see you in Memphis again
soon!

"Life defining" is the way I'd describe the quotations, antique drawings,

pictures, and art-works in the new "Elvis Sketchbook" by famed British

Graphics Artist Lee Roy Brown, released in time for the 25th Anniversary of

the death of The True King Of Rock n' Roll

He was much more than that, as this book illustrates clearly to those who

loved him and to those who didn't; or even to those too young to have had

the opportunity to do either.

In Lee Roy's eyes, to know Elvis Presley was to know America, and all of the

good she has stood for since her creation in 1776 in my city, Philadelphia.

He has painted a picture of a country boy whose roots would never disappear,

regardless of his stature , fame or fortune. Here is a portrait of a poor

boy who studied the foundations of Freedom America offers, from the

Declaration Of Independence to the Liberty Bell. From the raw beginnings of

our urban society in the 1700's, through his raw beginnings in the tiny

river-town of Tupelo, Mississippi, the things he learned about America are

detailed in old lithographs and drawings carefully placed by Lee Roy in a

manner that conveys the feelings Elvis must have had growing up. "Love of

Country. Love Of People, Love Of Parents. Respect for all. Equality for all"

(as included in the very unexpected text of this work.) His love of people

and deep sense of responsibility are clearly rooted in the American Eagle

that Lee Roy fly's so fluidly through the pages of Elvis' life..to the civil

war soldier that reminds. "Duty comes far before Fame and Fortune"..turning

Presley's values into two years of hard duty as a tank operator and mechanic

at the height of his popularity, while other stars of his stature chose to

entertain troops, instead of "being one." Everyone he served with respected

his devotion to duty..

There's Elvis the Sheriff (Official FBI Badge No. 1 presented to him by

President Nixon) portrayed as a Harley Motorcycle cop when little Johnny
"makes a mistake." A

touching plaza reference to JFK, (who is quoted in this work along with

Benjamin Rush, Lincoln, and other great leaders and philosophers.)

This book is for the true collector of things of value: a "spiritual" value

not often seen in today's world of "just make it look like you're doing it,"

and electronic answers and desk-top "shortcuts" to "everything.".

It belongs in College libraries, Social-Studies classes, and yes, in the

Library Of Congress for sure, as it's "Americana" illustrations by the

talented minister of Elvis are vital parts of the American Scene, and how

they shaped the life of one of it's foremost citizens.

We're living in difficult times. Lee Roy Brown's "Elvis Sketchbook" may help

get us to where we have to go...with "duty before fame and fortune' leading

the way.

Visit the author's website at www.leeroybrown.com for a preview; to purchase

the book, or to simply enjoy Elvis.

If you have not used this form of payment before then we can look at other
methods. I live in London, England.

Your very own Limited Edition / Numbered copy of "The Elvis Sketchbook" (
signed and numbered as each order arrives ) ships securely wrapped for you
to
enjoy and it will be personally inscribed by me to you. You can advise me of
any
particular personalised inscription you would like. I will also e-mail you
to
let you know it is on the way and the time they advise me it will take to
get
to you.

KINDEST REGARDS,
Your Elvis Friend,
Lee Roy Brown.
