Well, I finally had a moment to get on my group for Butch and finally
click the link to this group!!!  YEAH!!!!  Butch and I have been
really busy, so please forgive me for not getting here sooner.
Thanks Melody and June for inviting me and Butch...I see he made it
here before me..FIGURES!  I look forward to hearing stories and
finding out more about all of you, too.

Butch and I would also like to invite all of you to join our group,
too  ButchDicusTheHeartOfElvis@yahoogroups.com  Unfortunately, I
haven't figured out to do the link like Melody did for this
group...gawd, and to think I'm college educated!!  Oh well, maybe
that's why I've been playing the violin for 30 years instead of
making a "real living"???  :o)

Kathy,

Met a young lady this weekend in Branson when I forgot

pair of my "E" sunglasses and while we were talking she
had a picture
of you on the wall. It was a little gift shop by the

said "I'll buy that too" - kidding around and she said

body" and she told me the story of you working there (I
believe that
is what she told me).  I love to hear good stories not
only about
Elvis but also the people who knew him.  Had a great
visit with a
great friend of mine, Dottie Booth, while I was there

Ah yes, the book. That’s the question Kathy is asked
the most, and anyone who has it, is very lucky indeed,
as the old one is no longer in print, and extremely
hard to find. I’ve personally been looking for one, for
years. However, the good news is, Kathy is busy working
on a second book, which will include not only all the
stories in the old one, but also new stories and photos
that were left out of the first edition. Even better
news is -- we’ll be the first ones to know when she
finishes the second one and is ready to release it.

Oh and Kathy answers that question personally and in
further detail on her web pages at

In fact, how many of you are lucky enough to own a copy
of the first edition? Is it as wonderful as everyone
says?

Hey Gang,

Great benefit show taking place in Branson this weekend during the
Branson Summerfest.  Jamie Coyne, Elvis Extravaganza, is putting on a
contest to raise money for Tommy Richards, a young man who just
recently found out he had leukemia and has had to sell a majority of
his property to support his family.  It is a pleasure to work with
Jamie and help him bring a "real" contest to the fine folks of
Branson and in turn, help a fellow American during his hard times.
The show will be at Branson Landing North Beach at 2:00 p.m. All
contestants who enter this contest will be given a slot in Las Vegas
next January, unlike having to place first at any of the other Elvis
Extravaganza Contests.  There will be a steak dinner provided by
Golden Corral at 4:30 p.m. on Shepard of the Hills expressway and
each one of us Elvi will be able to perform on their stage.  Nothing
like singing for your supper but what a way to be able to reach some
of the Branson summer crowd.

Come one, come all and let's have a blast.  Branson is a fun town and
being a regular performer in Branson now, I appeciate the crowd we
draw at each show.

June and I welcome all our new additions!! Kathy is totally thrilled that so many people still remember her and are excited by joining her group here! We had over 30 people sign up in just a few hours-- that is INCREDIBLE!
THANK YOU to everyone who signed up!
 
First off, I want to thank all the dear friends that June and I have talked with over the years-thank you for coming on board another wonderful egroup! The list is long, but you guys and gals........ know who you are!
To all the new comers, we look forward to getting to know more about you all.
 
I wanted to make a few notes here, as a few have wrote and asked me a few things in private email.
 
 
First Off...
 
This is a Kathy and Elvis Egroup. This is for our memories, stories, information about Kathy's upcoming events etc.... We are going to try to avoid having alot of "spam" type newsletters about Elvis that seem to go from group to group. That is why this group is moderated, so that if a message comes through that is going to go to a ton of other Elvis groups-- then we will eliminate it before coming through. SOOOOOOOOOOOO,, if you are one of those that likes to send lots of Elvis News.... please don't do it here... many are already signed up for these things..although we love Elvis dearly-we usually will find this same information somewhere else along the line!
This group is for fun, not frustration--and repeated emails are FRUSTRATING. New and spontaneous news is cool from individual members though!
 
Kathy is thrilled to have so many loving fans want to be part of this group, I can promise you that Kathy will be reading and watching, certainly with a smile--- but she CANNOT post regularly. Please don't be disappointed, but with often 1000+ personal emails every single day, it would be impossible for her to reply to every single email. She reads them all though-so rest assured. She loves to read!
 
Any questions that you have can be sent on her website, and three new ones will be drawn every month- that she answers -in depth and with sincerity. She is unable to answer questions on a regular basis, due to her very busy schedule.
Although, this group is going to be able to keep you up to date with any appearances, or interesting things Kathy has up her sleeve! Once in awhile Kathy will drop in when she gets a second to say hi--- don't be afraid to say hi back---she DOES read all you post-but once again, doesn't have the time to write to the posts on an individual basis.
 
Please post anything that you feel is a memory you would like to share-a concert with Kathy and Elvis- or a thought about either one of them.
Kathy loved Elvis dearly, and wishes to keep his memory alive-she does so in her own ways.
We know you will learn a great deal about Kathy by treading over to her website that our dear friend June Moore designed for her. Here you will see her private side-the one most people don't get to see. You will also find it very interesting to read her online journal where she shares many inside thoughts and feelings.How close and personal can you get???
 
We know that you will love Kathy as much as us, she is one of the sweetest souls that was ever put on this earth!
 
I know that a lot of the egroup stuff can get to people, so June and I will use a very strong discretionary opinion when deciding to let posts through... we will avoid repeated stuff and do our best to keep the group "clean and tidy". We do welcome tidbits and interesting things though!
 
Okay that should clear things up with some of the emails I have received. I do apologize to those that mentioned there were some difficulties with the sign up, I'm not sure why some of you had problems. Maybe it is the link I sent?
 
Stick with us, we are in the process of developing this neat group and have a few things up our sleeves!
In the meantime please go and check out some soundclips, pictures and information on Kathy's site!
 
 
Elvis was an original and so is Kathy!

hi please let me introduce myself to this great group ,im from Australia I ETA ELVIS www.webspawner.com/users/iceelvis  i also sing songs that elvis didnt do sounding like elvis i have a elvis club you all can join also send me a email,and join my fan club and elvis club i have over 40 members,i i also sent some tapes to ray ,walker of the joprdinaires also. my email is rennie008@...  ,i have been on radio here,also. i take songs like say frank sinartra,or nat king cole or 1950s or todays songs and sing elvis, i sing all the elvis songs from sun to rca to songs elvis didnt do yet. sort of the way jimmy ellis did. ***ice-elvis***  also my name is Rennie.
