Well for discussion sake I feel Lisa has every right
to use the Presley name if she had been a boy she
would have kept that name no matter how many times
they married it should be no different for a girl. I
have worked with many professional women that keep
their maiden name of which they are proud of. As for
as the music Col Parker sold the rights to most of
that long before Lisa took over. Heck it is her money
if she wants to give it all away she can but I know
she will never do that. I feel you judge her too
harshly. She loves her dad very much she is just
trying very hard to make her own footprints on this
earth.

I'm sad to say, we have yet another member that needs your prayers.
This time it's Kathy's mother. She was so happy only a few months ago, when she met, fell in love, and even married, a man she met there in the nursing home, with Kathy singing at the wedding of course. The whole fairy tale wedding being one of the cutest stories I've ever heard.

I talked to Kathy late last night, and her mother has suddenly became
very, very ill. The doctors are taking tests now, but so far haven't
been able to pin point the problem, so let's all include Kathy and
her mom in our prayers. Hopefully they'll find the problem and be
able to solve it quickly.

Thank you Karen I look at Lisa and I remember the
first time I saw her it was a smiling Elvis walking
down that drive there at Graceland we could tell he
had something in his hand it was early spring the
weather was getting warm and as he approached he said
I brought something to show you and it was a picture
of his baby girl Lisa Marie she was wearing a little
yellow dress she had a big curl on top of her head she
was so cute and he was all smiles he was so proud of
her. She was the one person he felt in his heart that
would love him for him and he adored her. I think of
the times I watched as she played on the grounds of
Graceland and it seems like only yesterday well our
own children do not always take the path we would have
chosen for them or marry the ones that we like but
they are our children and we love them and we respect
them and let them make their own way in life. Lisa had
a big big name to try to live up to and to try to
forge her own way and her own life. I respect what she
has done and I am sure her father would still be
smiling and the love for his little girl would still
be radiating from him if he were here today.

June, this IS the year! Unfortunately, so many original Elvis fans
are now senior citizens and have health problems, have passed away,
or are living on social seurity limited income, and continue to each
year that does by, that they are dwindling in their visits to
Memphis during Elvis week. This August is the 30th anniversary of
his death, so fans from all over the world will be there for this
landmark anniversary. Since Memphis is capitalizing on our love &
dedication to Elvis by raising tourist prices sky high, I personally
don't see myself going there again after this year, so to me it will
be like the farewell extravaganza!

i cannot agree with lisa to carry the presley name either how many time was she married, , why should she be any differant than anyone else, just because she was his daughter does not mean she has the right to carry the presley name to make her  more famous and thats the only reason she has kept it, i am not happy about what she did with graceland and is she was having money troubles owing $25 milion, whos fault is that that she is a spender and cannot handle money, elvis made over 44 billion dollars in the 20 years in business and gave most of it away, but never was or had money problems, he could go out and make a million a week or more, she did her dad wrong in selling rights to his music, maybe it was the best move she made before she lost graceland altogether, at least graceland is safe from closing now, sorry but she just is not grown up yet, and if elvis had a son it would be differant, then he could carry the presley name, neither priscilla nor lisa should be able to carry the name presley, i do not care  who or when she married, her name should not be presley, i will argue with this  forever, mike wright  sorry but just being honest and telling how i feel about it, they only used the name to get somewhere, if not for having that name they would have had to do as others  who needed money, work a little

I've also seen Lisa sing 5 times,

her duet, and then, 4 other concerts

She's been to the Audoborn park to do her first

Re: "The Presley name." Priscilla was never married prior to Elvis.
She lived with Marco for several years after Elvis & had a son by
him, but never married him. I believe she never wanted to give up
the "Presley" name (can you blame her?) Many divorced women keep
their MARRIED names, especially for the sake of their minor
children, so they have the same last name as their children. Lisa
Marie has chosen to use her MAIDEN name Presley, rather than her
married name. The only thing that bothers me is when Priscilla is
referred to as Elvis' "widow" when they had been divorced for 5
years prior to his death, or when girlfriends take their boyfriend's
last name (not in the case with Elvis' girlfriends, that I know of)
but was the case with Pam Courson, Jim Morrison's (The Doors)
longtime girlfriend, who were living in the apt. bldg. I currently
own (known as "JIM MORRISON'S LAST KNOWN U.S. RESIDENCE") when he
reportedly died in Paris in 1971.

If any of you make it to the St. Louis area, be sure and stop in and
say hi to our baby  (well she isn't much of a baby anymore, but still
the cutest chimp at the zoo). She's easy to spot, she's always the
one demanding all the attention from the crowds, not to mention a
huge photo of her marks the entrance to the chimpanzee area of the
zoo. Elvis would really love this little cutie.

   I'm "testing the market" in regards to another piece of Elvis work that is near completion.  The oil painting is of Elvis riding his palomino, Rising Sun.  It consists of the head, neck, mane and chest of the palomino and Elvis's head, neck, shoulder and part of his arm.  The painting is not for sale but I'm debating on having either limited edition prints (worth more) or in poster form, less expensive.  This is in NO way a commitment or contract, just a questionnaire.  If you would like to participate, I've entered the questions below.
