Thanks for sharing with us Cheri. What a beautiful daughter. I've added both her site and her bands to site to "my friends" on My Space, so they'll both there pictures on an Elvis site now.

I didn't realize Tiana had her site set on private. In the meantime,
you can check out her band's site. She's the only girl so you can't
miss her! Go to: myspace.com/burningwagon
(They even have a picture of Elvis under friends!)

I agree with Linda.  Lisa above all, is the rightful heir and can make any
decision she chooses be it monetary or name.  Elvis's love was mom, daughter and music.
I feel he had a lot of respect for Kathy due to her talent, and the person she is as a whole.
I feel Elvis liked women that was true to themselves.  Not because of who he was.

Linda Capotosti <ibaorionfan@...> wrote:
Well for discussion sake I feel Lisa has every right
to use the Presley name if she had been a boy she
would have kept that name no matter how many times
they married it should be no different for a girl. I
have worked with many professional women that keep
their maiden name of which they are proud of. As for
as the music Col Parker sold the rights to most of
that long before Lisa took over. Heck it is her money
if she wants to give it all away she can but I know
she will never do that. I feel you judge her too
harshly. She loves her dad very much she is just
trying very hard to make her own footprints on this
earth.

I'm sad to say, we have yet another member that needs your prayers.
This time it's Kathy's mother. She was so happy only a few months ago, when she met, fell in love, and even married, a man she met there in the nursing home, with Kathy singing at the wedding of course. The whole fairy tale wedding being one of the cutest stories I've ever heard.

I talked to Kathy late last night, and her mother has suddenly became
very, very ill. The doctors are taking tests now, but so far haven't
been able to pin point the problem, so let's all include Kathy and
her mom in our prayers. Hopefully they'll find the problem and be
able to solve it quickly.

Why would it be different if Elvis had a son ... why would that son have the right to carry on Elvis's name?  What if that son was married many times, just like Lisa Marie?  Just because he would be a man.. that is ok but because Lisa Marie is a woman and has married many times? It is right for her to keep her birth name?  We are in the 21st century,,, we are not in the 1950,s where men were permitted to do everything and woman had to shut up and be pretty.    This is the year 2007 not the year 1957

i cannot agree with lisa to carry the presley name either how many time was she married, , why should she be any differant than anyone else, just because she was his daughter does not mean she has the right to carry the presley name to make her  more famous and thats the only reason she has kept it, i am not happy about what she did with graceland and is she was having money troubles owing $25 milion, whos fault is that that she is a spender and cannot handle money, elvis made over 44 billion dollars in the 20 years in business and gave most of it away, but never was or had money problems, he could go out and make a million a week or more, she did her dad wrong in selling rights to his music, maybe it was the best move she made before she lost graceland altogether, at least graceland is safe from closing now, sorry but she just is not grown up yet, and if elvis had a son it would be differant, then he could carry the presley name, neither priscilla nor lisa should be able to carry the name presley, i do not care  who or when she married, her name should not be presley, i will argue with this  forever, mike wright  sorry but just being honest and telling how i feel about it, they only used the name to get somewhere, if not for having that name they would have had to do as others  who needed money, work a little

myself as a elvis fan,i really do not know why priscilla  married elvis, she knew and had an idea how life would be awith a singer and as famous as elvis was evan back then, if she really loved and cared for him, she would have tried to help him and stick by him, and just not take off and leave him and she was not innocent she played around on elvis with that mike stone and she is human to, but i do not think she or lisa should still have  the presley name, priscilla made her bed when she broke her vows to elvis, he loved her nd sometimes i think she did it for her own fame, she usewd elvis and now look what her and lisa  has done to graceland sold  out to her own dad and priscilla got her  fame in movies and so did lisa, they should not have the presley, but when you have money i guess you can get your way, if not for elvis  neither one would  be  anything  to me since they sold rights and 80 percent of graceland and therights of the  songs elvis recorded, that to me tells me all they cared about is the money, i wish elvis would have picked someone other than priscilla to be his wife, or stayed single, he may have still been here, or lived longer, all priscilla done was break his heart, he really cared for her bu she cared only for one thing to get pregnet and draw  so much a month from child support, she had to right  to graceland the way i look at it, vernon made a big mistake asking her to take it over, elvis would have never went for that and as for vernon, he used alot of the money elvis made and lived better than his own son, and had a life , he just made it harder on elvis and so did priscilla, she never deseved such a great husband , she did  not try to help him at all, it says in sickness and in health, she will have to answer to what she has done and so will lisa, she tries to sing and can if she picked the right songs but if not for her dad being elvis she would have never made it as a singer, i think if elvis was to have ment kathy westmoreland he would have had help and may have evan needed any pills to help the pain he was in, elvis and kathy would have made it big together and elvis would have had a great life with her as his wife, priscilla and lisa just used the presly name and thats why they are still in the spotlight now, elvis made it for them, and i really do not think either one of them should have been able to keep the presley name, they did not care for him, just the name, you can say i am wrong, but go ahead, i see why elvis did not want priscilla to get into acting, she is not the greatest actor i have  seen, and lisa tries to act like elvis but still she can't take his place and i have not purchased the first cd on her and won't, she had to sell out alot because she was not smart enough to handle her money and was and may still owe in bills as much as $25 millon, thats why she sold rights to the recordings and graceland, she sold her own dads  home and his music, i could have never done that to my dad, no mater  whatelvis gave all or most of his money away and some took advantage of him and one was that tom parker who should have been ran out of this country in the first place and his own dad vernon  did alot of dirty work with tom parker, no wonder elvis died at at early age,he may have found out  and looked at the expense book, vernon was in charge of that and to parker got 50 percent on everything elvis recorded and would still have if he had not been  bout out, i wish elvis would have got rid of that tom parker years ago, and he may have done the movies he wanted to do, and would have had an honest manager , and have never ment priscilla, thats the biggest mistake he made is to marry her, he raised her at 14 years old and never touched her untill they were married ,not anything like jerry lee lewis, he to me if it had been in these days he would  have been and was a child molester, when he married a relative , and you know he did not wait till he was married to her to well i will not say,but at least elvis did make a woman out of priscilla, and made her furture for her, or she would still be in germany or wherever her mom and stepdad took her, she knew what she was doing, making her furture for herself,

I guess I would like to know if  anyone doubting Kathy's word was with her and Elvis?

Hi Marion.
I have to disagree with you. I don't want to make any argument about this, but Ann-Margeret was the only one Elvis ever loved. I know because my grandad met one of Elvis' close and personal friends.
He said that Priscilla was the one who told on Sonny and the others when they used to try and stop Elvis taking the pills - she told Elvis which got him mad. I, personally, would have let them do it. Elvis needed help. Priscilla in no way at all tried to help and she probably was the only one who could.
I think that Priscilla and Elvis were more like friends than lovers. Thats how i see it.
I believe that Elvis and Kathy had a strong bond too. They both sung and they were perfect. Shame is never worked out.
I hope you can understan my point.
Thankyou x

I kniow she had an affair which was wrong, but, I think she needed love
so bad because obviously she wasn't getting it form Elvis
I think Elvis cheated many times whereas Priscilla I don't believe did
She also tried to keep the marriage together but Elvis just couldn't
relate to her after she had the baby, u know mother's and sex just
wasn't his thing
Why didn't Kathy and Elvis stay together if thye had such a deep love?
I think in th end Priscilla was the only true love, the only love he
wanted was Priscilla, but it was too late

Hi Linda,

I think Lisa has a right to her daddy's name,
She shouldn't have to change her last name just cause she gets
married.

It should be her decision, she's proud of her dad, and her mom,
and where she came from, is, etc.

I'm glad I have seen her in concert a few times
she does really good,
and I love the songs she writes about her dad,
and her mom, they are really good.

Well,
I hope She's happy in her life is all I care about
she's a nice person, if people would just
be more tender to her,
dang, how many of us have a daddy like hers
and who died when she was only 9,

she doesn't run him down,
she's making her own life
like he would do,

like he'd want her to do, and she should,
why can't she, just cause of her name,
she has a right to.  I'm proud of her,
she's very good at singing,
it may not be everyones type,
but who cares, she does it good
and she likes it,
its her style,
she's trying to find her footprint
and be happy.

I think her daddy is proud of her,
and so is cilla.

I'm glad she's singing,
I got all her cds so far
and plan to get whatever else that comes out.

I don't like some of the things that are out on her,
but I don't buy everything on her daddy either,

I'm choosy,
but I think she's doing good at singing
just have to have ytour own footprint

He did,
now she is.

Cilla made her own footprint,
so, LIsa is.

Good for her.

Go linda,
i'm glad I agree with you----

LISA ROCKS,
ELVIS ROCKS
CILLA ROCKS,

THEY JUST KEEP ON ROCKIN' A LONG.

GO LISA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel you judge her too
harshly. She loves her dad very much she is just
trying very hard to make her own footprints on this
earth.

Hello Elvis fans,
I'm "testing the market" in regards to another piece of Elvis work that is near completion.  The oil painting is of Elvis riding his palomino, Rising Sun.  It consists of the head, neck, mane and chest of the palomino and Elvis's head, neck, shoulder and part of his arm.  The painting is not for sale but I'm debating on having either limited edition prints (worth more) or in poster form, less expensive.  This is in NO way a commitment or contract, just a questionnaire.  If you would like to participate, I've entered the questions below.

Would you be interested in:
   1.         limited editions: just circle Y/N            Price:   $75.00  to $450.00--
sizes:18x24 inches,  24x36 inches (actual size) and your view of the fair market value: $

     2.        posters:                  Price:    $20.00 to $100.00--your price: your view of the fare market value: $
      3.       not interested:

Thank you again, and if you would like to, please pass this info on to your Elvis fan friends that you think might be interest in my survey.

My artwork can be checked out at:  www.loxisibley.com The painting I'm talking about is not ready to view yet.

I'm sending this to as many people that I feel would be somewhat interested.  Let me know,  those of you who do not want me to send further emails regarding my artwork and I will remove you from my list.

Thank you Karen I look at Lisa and I remember the
first time I saw her it was a smiling Elvis walking
down that drive there at Graceland we could tell he
had something in his hand it was early spring the
weather was getting warm and as he approached he said
I brought something to show you and it was a picture
of his baby girl Lisa Marie she was wearing a little
yellow dress she had a big curl on top of her head she
was so cute and he was all smiles he was so proud of
her. She was the one person he felt in his heart that
would love him for him and he adored her. I think of
the times I watched as she played on the grounds of
Graceland and it seems like only yesterday well our
own children do not always take the path we would have
chosen for them or marry the ones that we like but
they are our children and we love them and we respect
them and let them make their own way in life. Lisa had
a big big name to try to live up to and to try to
forge her own way and her own life. I respect what she
has done and I am sure her father would still be
smiling and the love for his little girl would still
be radiating from him if he were here today.

Hi Linda,

I think Lisa has a right to her daddy's name,
She shouldn't have to change her last name just cause she gets
married.

It should be her decision, she's proud of her dad, and her mom,
and where she came from, is, etc.

I'm glad I have seen her in concert a few times
she does really good,
and I love the songs she writes about her dad,
and her mom, they are really good.

Well,
I hope She's happy in her life is all I care about
she's a nice person, if people would just
be more tender to her,
dang, how many of us have a daddy like hers
and who died when she was only 9,

she doesn't run him down,
she's making her own life
like he would do,

like he'd want her to do, and she should,
why can't she, just cause of her name,
she has a right to.  I'm proud of her,
she's very good at singing,
it may not be everyones type,
but who cares, she does it good
and she likes it,
its her style,
she's trying to find her footprint
and be happy.

I think her daddy is proud of her,
and so is cilla.

I'm glad she's singing,
I got all her cds so far
and plan to get whatever else that comes out.

I don't like some of the things that are out on her,
but I don't buy everything on her daddy either,

I'm choosy,
but I think she's doing good at singing
just have to have ytour own footprint

He did,
now she is.

Cilla made her own footprint,
so, LIsa is.

Good for her.

Go linda,
i'm glad I agree with you----

LISA ROCKS,
ELVIS ROCKS
CILLA ROCKS,

THEY JUST KEEP ON ROCKIN' A LONG.

GO LISA!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!

if she wants to give it all away she can but I know
she will never do that. I feel you judge her too

June, this IS the year! Unfortunately, so many original Elvis fans
are now senior citizens and have health problems, have passed away,
or are living on social seurity limited income, and continue to each
year that does by, that they are dwindling in their visits to
Memphis during Elvis week. This August is the 30th anniversary of
his death, so fans from all over the world will be there for this
landmark anniversary. Since Memphis is capitalizing on our love &
dedication to Elvis by raising tourist prices sky high, I personally
don't see myself going there again after this year, so to me it will
be like the farewell extravaganza!

she'll be doing Elvis Week yet. I'm even thinking about grabbing my
hubby and taking him along with, or without Kathy, as he's never
been to Memphis during that time. He's never really wanted too, but
I keep telling him he'd love it during that time. He loves Elvis,
but just isn't into crowds so I've always went with gal pals before
and left him home, but this just might be the year.

Hi Linda,

I think Lisa has a right to her daddy's name,
She shouldn't have to change her last name just cause she gets
married.

It should be her decision, she's proud of her dad, and her mom,
and where she came from, is, etc.

I'm glad I have seen her in concert a few times
she does really good,
and I love the songs she writes about her dad,
and her mom, they are really good.

Well,
I hope She's happy in her life is all I care about
she's a nice person, if people would just
be more tender to her,
dang, how many of us have a daddy like hers
and who died when she was only 9,

she doesn't run him down,
she's making her own life
like he would do,

like he'd want her to do, and she should,
why can't she, just cause of her name,
she has a right to.  I'm proud of her,
she's very good at singing,
it may not be everyones type,
but who cares, she does it good
and she likes it,
its her style,
she's trying to find her footprint
and be happy.

I think her daddy is proud of her,
and so is cilla.

I'm glad she's singing,
I got all her cds so far
and plan to get whatever else that comes out.

I don't like some of the things that are out on her,
but I don't buy everything on her daddy either,

I'm choosy,
but I think she's doing good at singing
just have to have ytour own footprint

He did,
now she is.

Cilla made her own footprint,
so, LIsa is.

Good for her.

Go linda,
i'm glad I agree with you----

LISA ROCKS,
ELVIS ROCKS
CILLA ROCKS,

THEY JUST KEEP ON ROCKIN' A LONG.

GO LISA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel you judge her too
harshly. She loves her dad very much she is just
trying very hard to make her own footprints on this
earth.

HE DIDN'T NEED A WIG
HE HAD AWESOME HAIR----

HE DIDN'T NEED ANYTHING,
HE WAS IN THE FRONT OF THE LINE
WHEN LOOKS, HAIR,
VOICE, PERSONALITY, ETC.
WAS PASSED OUT.

HE WAS SENT FROM HEAVEN AND HE KNEW
ALL GIFTS COME FROM GOD,
AND HE KNEW HE WAS A GIFT.

AND HIS VOICE WAS FROM GOD.

SO,
NO, HE DIND'T NEED A WIG,
WHOEVER STARTED THAT,

DANG,

HIS HAIR WAS PERFECT,
AND AWESOME AND SUPER SOFT
WHY WEAR A STUPID WIG
WHY, TO COVER UP, NATURAL BEAUTY,

NO WAY---

So very sorry to hear of Kathy's mom being sick, i do hope and pray for her mom and Kathy at this time. Please keep us informed, and if cards can be sent let us know.

It seems like so many are sick any more and so many are in need of prayers.

God be with you all during these difficult times.

My sister and i both lost our Mom a little over 2 years ago. Mom was Deuces on the Elivs Chat, It is one of the hardest things i have ever had to go through. When i am down and out i go and visit and ask her for strength to keep going as i know that is what she would want for me. Believe me sounds strange to some but, it has helped me so many times. I do believe she is watching over me in my steps. One day i will join mom again. She loved Elvis and i am sure she is loving being front row seat with him now. I miss and love her very much. No one can ever replace a Mother.

Kathy please stay strong, and always enjoy the time with her while she is here.

Loxi my mom and sister bought you pictures a long time ago at Van De Kamps in Burbank They are beautiful.  Not sure if you have chated with them both before or not.

PRAYERS AND STRENGTH TO ALL IN NEED.

PAULA

My thoughts and prayers for all going through Difficult times.

No one is perfect, famous or not,
so,
everyone has something they don't like about their life,
they wish they could change,

ok whatever,

but the fact remains,
Elvis married her,
she had his baby,

so,
that's final.

i cannot agree with lisa to carry the presley name either how many time was she married, , why should she be any differant than anyone else, just because she was his daughter does not mean she has the right to carry the presley name to make her  more famous and thats the only reason she has kept it, i am not happy about what she did with graceland and is she was having money troubles owing $25 milion, whos fault is that that she is a spender and cannot handle money, elvis made over 44 billion dollars in the 20 years in business and gave most of it away, but never was or had money problems, he could go out and make a million a week or more, she did her dad wrong in selling rights to his music, maybe it was the best move she made before she lost graceland altogether, at least graceland is safe from closing now, sorry but she just is not grown up yet, and if elvis had a son it would be differant, then he could carry the presley name, neither priscilla nor lisa should be able to carry the name presley, i do not care  who or when she married, her name should not be presley, i will argue with this  forever, mike wright  sorry but just being honest and telling how i feel about it, they only used the name to get somewhere, if not for having that name they would have had to do as others  who needed money, work a little

Hi everyone,
i did NOT mean this to get into an argument. I was just telling you all my opinion. I have read everyones e-mails and i read their opinions and took them into account.
So i guess we won't ever know the truth - all we have are facts and we can believe what we want to believe.
I think that the only two things Elvis ever loved was his mum and his music, like some of you have said.
I believe that Priscilla shouldn't carry Elvis' name - i mean she has been married to someone else before. She DIVORCED Elvis in '73, that doesn't mean she is a Presley. But Lisa has the right to carry it because she IS Elvis' blood - his daughter.
So thank you all for getting back to me on that, i enjoyed reading what you all think.
Thank you

well
he was a grown man,

Priscilla is really a nice lady, so is LIsa
I know them both,
I also have met Sonny West and Red,
they seem they were trying to help,

wel,
I know the backup singers some of the band members

I have attended many of the funerals of his family.

No, i don't know their every move,
who does??

but I know enough.

I met cilla in 97 at the mall here in memphis
when she was promoting her fragrance Indian summer,
I was 2nd in line
I had just got out of the hosp.
and didn't have but 50 cents on me, from getting my rx
tha'ts all i had left.

I got my photo, and bottle of perfume as a promotion

She didn't come till 2 p.m. that day

and we got in line a little after 11a.m.

I got to talk to her
and told her a lot of things,
I also told her I know she still loved him
and she said,
to everyone,
I've never not loved Elvis,
I've always loved him----

I am the only one that asked her how LIsa, Danielle, Ben, Marco,
she was still with at the time,

No one else asked her.

She said to me,
"OH yes, thank you so much for asking, they are all fine.'

She was very soft spoken and nice.

I've also seen Lisa sing 5 times,
her duet, and then, 4 other concerts
she's been doing,
She's been to the Audoborn park to do her first
memphis show,

and then, she was at Grand,
and I"ve seen her there several times, also,
I saw her right after he died,
at the mansion as she was riding her golf cart
came by the gate, and waved.

Whatever they do, is what they do,
all you can do, is hope they are happy doing their life
as long as they are happy in their life
that's all anyone should want.

what people did or didn't do,
doesn't matter now,

He's not here to say anything
They aren't here in person, to have a interview

so, its really sort of unfair
to say what they shouldve done,

He did love cilla,
she loved him, you can tell she did,
cause when I saw her, and told her some things she just
had love for him in her eyes,
its like even now, she can't beleive he's not here.

I CANT' EITHER, REALLY,

i go by the mansion, and when he was in town,
at home, he'd have his cars parked in front,
if he was on tour,
they'd be gone,

now, you see tour buses,
going up instead,

I used to live across the street from the mansion,
behind the shops,

I could see the mansion like at the holiday time
from my balcony,

if that's not cool, I don't know what is.

I loved seeing it from there.

Thankyou x

Cilla was married to Elvis no one else,
I don't blame her I wouldn't marry someone else either,
if my husband then, ex died,

I had remained decent to,
was still best friends,
I'd be nice enough to carry it on, and keep it.

she lived with marco, who was nice,
and had a baby, with him, who is now, like 21.

they have now split, but you can't really blame her,
for keeping presley,

that's what she's known as,

she never married maro.

I hope they are still friends, not sure
but I would hope so.

cheriwoods1 <cheriwoods1@...> wrote:
Re: "The Presley name." Priscilla was never married prior to Elvis.
She lived with Marco for several years after Elvis & had a son by
him, but never married him. I believe she never wanted to give up
the "Presley" name (can you blame her?) Many divorced women keep
their MARRIED names, especially for the sake of their minor
children, so they have the same last name as their children. Lisa
Marie has chosen to use her MAIDEN name Presley, rather than her
married name. The only thing that bothers me is when Priscilla is
referred to as Elvis' "widow" when they had been divorced for 5
years prior to his death, or when girlfriends take their boyfriend's
last name (not in the case with Elvis' girlfriends, that I know of)
but was the case with Pam Courson, Jim Morrison's (The Doors)
longtime girlfriend, who were living in the apt. bldg. I currently
own (known as "JIM MORRISON'S LAST KNOWN U.S. RESIDENCE") when he
reportedly died in Paris in 1971.

easy come I hate to say it but Elvis and Priscilla
will be linked together for as long as we live and I
am sure many more discussions will come up about them.
Its hard to think of one without the other.

We just received our 2007 adoption certificate for Tammy (Dodger to
us) .

http://www.kathywestmoreland.us/chimp.html

If any of you make it to the St. Louis area, be sure and stop in and
say hi to our baby (well she isn't much of a baby anymore, but still
the cutest chimp at the zoo). She's easy to spot, she's always the
one demanding all the attention from the crowds, not to mention a
huge photo of her marks the entrance to the chimpanzee area of the
zoo. Elvis would really love this little cutie.

Thanks again to all of you for making things like the continued
adoption of Dodger, a possibility. A portion of everything on Kathy's
webpages goes to the care and feeding of Dodger, as well as the many
other charities Kathy's involved in.
