The Mike Edwards that I was wondering about this past January  is a
tribute artist/impersonator that was doing a special birthday show at
Cache Creek Casino and Resort near Sacramento, Ca.  It was in our
papers here in San Francisco and the outer Bay Area.  In the news
article they made mentioned that he was honored by Memphis and EPE as
a number one tribute artist.  That could be wrong, but that is what
was in the article.  Anyway, I am going to contact his office and
clear this up.  The show was free and from what I heard and read, he
was really very good.

Charlie Hodge, Elvis' army buddy and friend until 1977, has been
diagnosed with cancer. He has secretly been battling cancer the past
two months, but today the "news" leaked.

Charlie met Elvis on the boat from the USA to Germany in September
1958. They stayed friends until Elvis' death in August 1977. Charlie
was the guy who sang back up, played guitar, handed Elvis water and
gave him scarf's on stage during the shows in the 1970's.

From Memories Theater, where Charlie Hodge has been performing these
past few years, and here's the straight poop:

Charlie Hodge, despite his ailment, continues to perform nightly at
Memories Theater and "if you were not aware of his condition, you
would never know he is sick." His humor remains high, as does his
faith in God.

Here is an update on the condition of Charlie Hodge from his
girlfriend Jennifer:

"yes it is true that charlie has lung cancer. he was diagnosed on
december 21st and started his treatments january 2nd. for 2 months he
has to take radiation 5 days a week and chemo once a week. so far he
is responding well to the treatments with little side effects so we
are staying positive. after 2 months of treatment they might continue
with the chemo. every 3 months they will do tests to see if his
treatments are successful."

The Mike Edwards that I was wondering about this past January is a
tribute artist/impersonator that was doing a special birthday show at
Cache Creek Casino and Resort near Sacramento, Ca. It was in our
papers here in San Francisco and the outer Bay Area. In the news
article they made mentioned that he was honored by Memphis and EPE as
a number one tribute artist. That could be wrong, but that is what
was in the article. Anyway, I am going to contact his office and
clear this up. The show was free and from what I heard and read, he
was really very good.

In the book "Child Bride" - which I encourage everyone to read - it says Mike realized as Lisa was maturing that his was attracted to her . Priscilla later claimed Mike molested Lisa, but Mike denied it.

Elvis is the king and he will always be the king.he has changed my life completely, I just keep on watching all of his concerts for hours and hours and when my friends come over to my house I always show them the concerts they call me the one and only Elvis lover yes , since I am 30 years old ,I remember the first time I listened to Elvis I was 6 years old and since then my life has completely changed , I act like him ,I live like him and I love like him, I even do my hair like him in the 70s. When I watch his concerts I start living the whole thing and wishing that I was watching him in a real concert. I Live in Egypt , but I was educated in the U.S, I attended my high school years in Virginia and North Carolina and later I attended UCLA where I used to go on weekends to Vegas and I always made it a point to stay at the International Hilton , because I know Elvis is somewhere around.I also got all of his movies , concerts and Cd's. We have a very famous singer in Egypt who was Exactly like Elvis , he was very very very popular and to Egypt and the Arab world he is the Elvis , his life was exactly like Elvis in Everything he even died at the the same age and in the same year and until today he is considered the best singer in the Arab world and all the singers envy him very much , because people love the man. Kathy it must have been great singing with Elvis I guess its once in a life time experience and as Elvis always said you do have a lovely voice .You know I keep telling my self if I was with Elvis I would have stopped him and he would have thanked me for it today.If he was with us today he would have been simply the Best to all the world and just to his fans.

Child Bride is written by Suzanne Finstad and it is excellent. Shows the side of Priscilla that she tries to hide; She was a very selfish person, caluclated and a sociopathic liar. She tried to stop Finstad from writing this unauthorized biography. She confronts the man she had sex with the first time (Curry Grant) in Finstad's home, but changes her story so many times she gets flustered. She invented her own pitiful background - read the book LOL - she isn't the innocent little virgin she claims. Why do I believe this book? Because it explains so many of Priscilla's actions - and that of her parents - motive of why she was allowed to live in Memphis and finish high school . Her mother lived vicariously through Priscilla. Priscilla didn't even know she was adopted until she found some papers when she was jsut 14 , just before meeting Elvis. Prisc never took Lisa to meet Priscilla's grandmother (her real dad's mother)- just on and on. A good read I promise you.

I am in Chicago right now at a conference and went to the public library here and they have one copy of "Elvis and Kathy" and it is a reference book and you can't check it out so I'm going back another day to sit there and read it! Finally I have my hands on a copy of it but have to read it at the library!

In the book written by the guy Priscilla lived with for years (Michael Edwards I think) it said Pris got an abortion when she got pregnant by him...and they did drugs. Guess there are a lot of skeletons in her closet!!!

Don't remember if I sent these before - I was an extra in Glory Road and it was great fun reminiscing with Red. Bear in mind I was in wardrobe (which was too small!) and my hair was teased LOL You'll probably never see me in the crowds in the stands even though I worked for 2 solid weeks from 7 am until midnight and sometimes later. I think I have to send these one at a time.
