Thane Womens Guild along with Rotary Club of Thane is conducting a workshop
CARE(CAUTION AGAINST RAPE & EXPLOITATION) on Sat.17th Dec.2005 at Sahayog
Mandir, Ghantali, Thane(W) at 10.00 am.
Thane Womens’ Guild (TWG) is an organization formed by a group of professional
women of Thane to address issues concerning the society at large cutting across
the age and gender barrier. TWG organizes workshops, seminars & interactive
sessions from time to time with qualified resource persons to create awareness
about the issue; disseminate appropriate information & offer solutions, if any.
In the past we have conducted workshops on Importance of writing a Will; Income
Tax for the general public; A/V presentation about Breast Cancer by a leading
oncologist for women from the lower income groups; felicitation to women on
International Womens Day to name a few.

TWG is sensitive to issues concerning women & the girl child. Hence, in the
light of the present day scenario where abuse & exploitation of women is rampant
& adolescent girls are at high risk, we at TWG are organizing a first of its
kind programme for teenage girls & heads of schools in Thane. This workshop will
be addressed by Ms. Archana Tyagi, Suptd. of Police ,Thane Rural and Ms. Priti
Patkar a renowned social worker.
