ABOUT ASHTAVINAYAK:  Ashtavinayak in Marathi means 8 (Ashta) Ganeshas (Vinayak is another name of Lord Ganesha). These 8 temples of Ganesha are situated in some of the remote villages of Maharashtra. The name of the villages and their corresponding deities are  Mahad (Varad Vinayak), Pali (Ballaleshwar), Ranjangaon (Mahaganpati), Thevoor (Chintamani), Morgaon (Mayureshwar), Siddhatek (Siddhivinayak), Lednyadri (Girijatmaj), Ozar (Vigneshwar). This is a 3 day trip ex Mumbai. These Ganeshas are considered Swayambhus (self appeared) and are among the 21 shaktipeetas (power points) of Lord Ganesha in India.
