The students of SP Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai, a premier
B-school of India extend a warm invitation to you for Ehsaas.
Ehsaas – as the word suggests, stands for ‘feeling’. The very aim of Ehsaas is
to develop a sense of belonging in the minds of the immensely gifted,
differently-abled youth of India.
Ehsaas is an initiative, at a micro level, to try and involve differently-abled
youth in mainstream life and showcase their talent and potential to the entire
society. We hope to facilitate a network amongst the organizations working for
this cause. We also want to deliberate on the issues that the differently-abled
face and attempt to provide sustainable solutions for the same, especially
related to employment, information and entertainment.
Ehsaas is being organized by the Center for Development of Corporate Citizenship
(DOCC) at SPJIMR. DOCC is an opportunity for the MBA students to help the local
community face challenges. It endeavors to provide solutions that are beneficial
to the organization concerned as well as the underprivileged sections.
The event will start with a panel discussion- “ Ability in Disability ” covering
issues like current options available to differently-abled for seeking
employment, information, and entertainment and how can the society leverage on
the different abilities of these people. The invited dignitaries will be policy
makers, opinion leaders, academia and NGO leaders, who will bring to the fore
various aspects and challenges with practical recommendations to make this
initiative sustainable.
The discussion will be followed by performances (music, dramatics, and other
forms of performing arts) by participants of various NGOs. Artistic talents like
painting, handicrafts, pottery etc.will also be displayed
Kindly grace the event with your presence.
We would also like to take this opportunity to invite representation
from members of Karmayog group.
