The Akanksha Children present a musical for those who believe in dreams -
'Kabir & the Rangeen Kurta'

At Akanksha our mission is to impact the lives of less privileged children,
enabling them to maximise their potential and change their lives. Akanksha
believes that individuals can make a difference to children simply by
providing opportunities. Through education children develop a desire to
improve their circumstances and learn to help themselves.
Over the past 15 years, we've been working with 4000 incredible children who
have demonstrated the ability to dream and to reach places despite really
high odds stacked against them.

This is an especially important year for Akanksha as it marks our 15 year
anniversary.
15 years of Akanksha is important as it represents the cycle of a little
five year old coming into Akanksha and leaving 15 years later prepared for
life. To celebrate our 15th year, we invite you to a very special show that
reminds us of all that is good in the world. It's a musical about dreams -
about daring to dream and working hard to reach your dreams.

For the third consecutive year, the Akanksha children bring to the city of
Mumbai another Broadway-adapted musical, 'Kabir and the Rangeen Kurta'. With
a 150 less privileged children participating and many more working on its
production, this musical sends out another simple message. the power of
dreams and the courage it takes to make them come true.

We've roped in Mumbai's top people - Kruttika Desai for direction, Shiamak
Davar for dance, Fali Unwala for sets, Roger Drego for music, Michael
Nazreth for Lights...to ensure this becomes one of the city's most inspiring
shows.

Akanksha believes in every child's potential, and in changing the way we
educate our poorest children so that they, too, have the ability to dream.
