During monsoon season depending on the severity of rains there is an increase in the incidence of infectious diseases. Mumbai city witnessed heavy rainfall in the two consecutive years leading to a lot of infections & diseases like Dengue Fever, Leptospirossis, Malignant Malaria, Infective Viral Encephalitis etc. In this lecture, Dr. Jairaj Thanekar, Executive Health Officer, Municipal Corporation will discuss about the various monsoon related infectious diseases & emphasize on the precautions one should take to protect themselves from such infections. Dr. (Mrs.) Neera Kewalramani, Dy.Ex.Health Officer & Mr. Deepak Adsul, Insecticide Officer who are incharge of disease control and vector control for Mumbai will also participate in the seminar.
