Akanksha is currently looking to fill two key vacancies within the organisation.

Manager - Education

Location - Mumbai 

This is a critical full time position within Akanksha. The Education Manager (EM) is responsible for the overall functioning of the Education department, ensuring that learning at the highest levels at all times at the centers.

The EM develops and supervises the implementation of the Akanksha curricula and syllabi.

The EM supervises the delivery of the curriculum by the teachers and conceptualizes and implements all training programs as may be required to aid in effective teaching.

Akanksha’s key delivery is education and the Education Manager is the single point person to ensure that we deliver this goal to the 1800 children we work currently.

Akanksha is looking for someone with a background in education, preferably in school reform, or non-formal education. The ideal candidate would come to us with at least 5 years of experience, a motivated self-starter who is open to growth and learning. He/she should be comfortable working directly with children. The compensation package starts at Rs. 2.4 lakhs per annum for this position.

Manager – Human Resources

Location - Mumbai 

This is a challenging full time position at Akanksha. The HR manager is responsible for all recruitment of teachers, volunteers and staff, their professional development, motivation and retention.

The HR manager would design and implement the right strategies to meet the organization’s current level as well and fuel the growth plans.

Retention is the most challenging job in the development sector. The challenge is to get people to approach working in the development sector with the same level of professionalism and commitment that the corporate sector commands.

Akanksha is looking for a management graduate with HR specialization and/ or around 4-5 years of work relevant experience, an excellent team worker and a Leader by example with exceptional communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire such a large and diverse team. The compensation scale starts at Rs. 2.4 lakhs per annum.
