Description

Kakariki, which means 'green' in Maori, is the University of Canterbury's environment group.

Kakariki:

promotes and engages in environmental issues on and off campus
organises and participates in events and activism in order to build a more socially just and environmentally sustainable campus and planet
gives its members a space to meet and discuss environmental and social issues, and act on them.
has regular meetings and an e-mail list to help with communication.

Kakariki is mostly a student club, but staff and others are also welcome. For more info, contact kakariki_exec@yahoo.com or see us at Clubs Day at the start of each semester.
