This group is a grass-roots list organized by JP parents who wanted to stay in touch as their babies outgrew the Jamaica Plain New Moms Support Group.
The list-serve is intended to be a resource for local parents to share information and concerns about parenting. Our local area is primarily Jamaica Plain, Roslindale, West Roxbury, Roxbury, Mission Hill, and parts of Brookline/Dorchester/Hyde Park/Mattapan.
The list is closed to individuals who wish to join for the primary purpose of making announcements about events, services or products and who wish to use us for marketing or research. We are also closed to nannies and daycare providers unless you are also a JP area parent.

A variety of informal play groups have emerged from this community. The play groups are named in order of the alphabet (with exception of the Incredibles, whose parents started the JPMoms Yahoo Group). Currently existing play group NAMES are:
